The flat is conveniently located between three of the major traffic arteries in the city: Avenida 7a, where you could have major access to the northern part of the city and Avenida Caracas, where the city's major transport system Transmilenio runs, and which connects to any part of the city you would like to go from north, south, as well as as Avenida 26 which connects you to the western part of the city, giving access to El Dorado International Airport.
While being located at the heart of the business centre, you can walk this area in daytime to take in the interesting architecture from the Colombian architect Rogelio Salmona, whom designed Torres del Parque, recognized as one of the best works of 20th century architecture in Latin America. The Torres consist of three brick buildings, the tallest with 37 floors, located around three important places in the neighbourhood: the Plaza de Toros Santamaría (Bogotá’s bullring), the Parque de la Independencia (a pleasant park full of palm trees), and the Planetarium. As you walk and browse the stores and galleries that are springing up as the district comes of age in Macarena neighbourhood (10 min walk across Avenida 7a) you will be entering one of the hippest and most fashionable barrios at the moment. Get your fill of boho Bogota in this neighbourhood filled with local and international hipsters, actors, artists, and lookalikes of legendary Marxist revolutionary Ché Guevara. New and exciting culinary scene in Bogota in famous or alternative restaurants, where you can dine on traditional Colombian fare, fantastic burgers in the Hamburgueseria, Yugoslav, Caribbean, Chilean and Mexican cuisine as well. The Jugueteria remains a firm favorite amongst Bogotanos for the novelty decor. If you feel lazy there are restaurants with the option for delivery available in the area as well. Major stores, banks, travel agencies, event centres, theaters, cinemas and museums, casinos, bars and clubs are around the area, as well as money exchange services, postal services and 24/7 ATM's in neighbourhood. Bogotá's night life lives here: from classical music venues to traditional/ alternative folk beats like cumbia or salsa, to techno, electro, rock and metal, there's something for every taste in this part of town. If you enjoy physical activities, There's major parks nearby like Parque Nacional, and the city closes the traffic in Avenida 7a on sundays to turn it into the Ciclovía, giving exclusive access to bikes and pedestrians from downtown to northern part of town until until 14:00hrs to step back from your car and enjoy physical activities.
