My boyfriend & I stayed in Villa Sara during our Spring Break, from March 12th-16th, 2017. To say we enjoyed our stay would be understatement. It was amazing. Ricardo was very accommodating, welcoming & helpful. His wife is lovely as well! I wish we spoke more Italian. The land is beautiful, breathtaking & very peaceful. We would wake up in the mornings and sit outside, on top of the hill, it was sunny. We would sometimes sit out there for hours at a time. There's nothing like it. The house is big and beautiful-like something out of a movie, out in the Italian countryside. The photos do not do Villa Sara justice. You have to be there to see how amazing it really is. We had fresh towels, soap, firewood outside (chilly at night), warm blankets, plenty of kitchenware to cook, and there is a big wood-burning stove downstairs in the living room area. There is a giant table and plenty of chairs to sit outside. We loved our stay and did not want to leave. I would recommend taking the cooking class with Ricardo & his family. We regret not doing this because his family is so nice and welcoming. We were quite limited on days and had much to see, and the places were far to drive to. We will definitely come back here and will recommend to everyone. Thanks!!
It is always a pleasure for us to host new people and we always try to do our best so that their holiday in Siena should be unforgettable.
We usually give the keys personally and give advice to the guests for their stay.
We are very pleased to receive reviews like this that will give us back our work.

Amazing views, antique house
My heart would sing with joy every morning and every evening when looking upon this view. Even when it was cloudy and rainy, it was relaxing to sip my appropriate beverage and watch the scene change.
The house is old, so the challenges of an old house accompanied our visit. That being said, I’d stay there again.
Riccardo was a pleasant host, giving wonderful recommendations for restaurants and wineries.
He gave us a map to the various villages to visit. He was helpful and informative.
Beautiful villa on a hilltop setting
This villa has it all! The kitchen was well equipped, spacious bedrooms, roomy living quarters, and great bathrooms.
The location is amazing with a panoramic view. The sunsets are breathtaking!
We also booked a cooking class with Ricardo. His lovely wife Eliana and daughter Sara did a wonderful job teaching us many different courses of Italian foods. We ate outside with candle and starlight, sipping wine as the delicious meal was served.
We highly recommend this place. We’ve stayed at many HomeAways through the years and found this one of the very best.
lovely place, wonderful hosts
The villa is wonderful, very well kept up, and in a beautiful area near Siena. Riccardo is a wonderful host, both warm and super-responsibet. He arranged for a driver to pick us up from the train station and for a wine tour that was excellent, and (best of all) he and his wife Eliana cooked a totally outstanding meal for us. We ate many excellent meals in our two weeks in Italy, but none compared with this amazing dinner. We stayed with two other couples and we all loved this place.
A tremendous house in a lovely location.
We arrived for a week of rest and relaxation after a week helping/attending our daughter's wedding in Arezzo. This was the perfect tonic. Superb views from house and pool of wider Tuscan countryside and Siena. Lovely, comfortable home. Special thanks to Riccardo, Eliana and Sara for the special meal they prepared on Thursday which all enjoyed despite coping with a powercut for a while during a thunderstorm! We will not hesitate to return if the opportunity arises.
Beautiful and relaxing spot!
My 3 generation family spent two wonderful weeks at this delightful spot. We ate outside every night at the large outside table. We then stayed out until after sunset enjoying the beautiful views overlooking Tuscany and Siena. It would be hard to find a place that is a more ideal setting. There were cooling breezes keeping it comfortable on hotter days. The area was a great starting point for day trips in a car as well as hiking. There were also days we just sat outside taking in the view. There was plenty of room for the eight of us. The kids used the pool at least once everyday. This was my first trip to Italy and really a place I'd like to return to, staying at Villa Sara.
