About this property

Treetop hideaway, Relaxing, Small towns, Dining, Hiking, Biking, Water sports,

My place is close to the Delaware River and the canal. Just 250ft from the canal, you are on a bike or walking path connecting the towns of Stockton, Frechtown, Lambertville, and New Hope for dining and shopping. The Sand Castle Winery is also in walking distance. River Country Tubing Company offers shuttles and tubes, for a relaxing afternoon on the river. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, high ceilings, natural light and privacy. The galley kitchen is equipped with every pot and pan you might need.
Private setting high in thee tops. Bright rooms

Feels like home❣️
The house was nicely decorated and had so many windows and a skylight that really made it feel like you were in the trees. It was the most well stocked home I've ever stayed at. From kitchen items like coffee, half and half, quail and chickens eggs, butter, apples, chocolate, sodas, crackers and chips, condiments and spices, to bathroom items like shampoo and conditioner, soap, lotion, and shower bombs. There were games and books as well. It really feels like a family home that you escape to on the weekends and then hate to leave! I hope to come again in the summer when I can experience all the Delaware has to offer, from the comfort of this unique house. Pat was a pleasure to communicate with!

Great little getaway
Although this was mostly a work trip, we enjoyed our time when at the house.

Adorable house
House is charming and spotless. The kitchen is small but workable with a little effort. The driveway, however, is a challenge so I learned to park my car on the side of the road. Area is entirely delightful with many good restaurants, hikes, etc. Pat is a brilliant host.

Lovely, relaxed stay
What a charming property! We could hear the river from the house. The whole house is shaded by trees, so even in late July, it was cool enough to sit out on the porch. We had no troubles, really, but when I did contact the owner, she was responsive. There are a couple of things to know in advance: Getting into the driveway required a rather tight turn off of what is essentially a dirt road, so while our 4 wheel drive was useful, our double cab pickup truck was cumbersome to get in and out of the driveway. Regarding bedroom configuration, the main bedroom downstairs is very large, with a king bed. The second bedroom is very small, with a double bed. My also 60-year old college roommate and I took turns sleeping on the couch as we found we were keeping each other awake in the small bed and room. There was a bathroom for each bedroom, however. Still, the home was a very good option. We truly enjoyed our time there.

Surprisingly delightful, unique and wonderfully furnished
This was one of those experiences where each thing we discovered was more delightful than we expected. The deck in the tree tops, the generous furnishings the small touches welcoming us and the well stocked kitchen with spices and cooking oils was one of the helpful things that we don't often find. The half and half and local eggs just brought smiles to our faces. As for the house itself, it was comfortable and creatively furnished in thoughtful ways. The deck was fantastic in the treetops and we enjoyed breakfast there while we watched the rain one morning. We could take our bikes directly to the Delaware bike trail and ride up to Frenchtown or down to New Hope along a beautiful trail with views of the river, beautiful homes and interestng pieces of history. One bedroom on the main floor was very nice and the master suite and bathroom suite downstairs was fantastic. Folks who have mobility issues may find the circular stair challenging but we found that part of the house a delightful bonus. The only other heads up would be the initial navigation of the driveway backing in. It is steep but navigable. After we did it once or twice we became much more comfortable with the challenge. I give this place kudos across the board along with the responsive hosts. I would go back in a heartbeat.
