About this property

Breathtaking Ocean front Villa, Amazing Views

One of the most unique and striking properties on the tranquil island of Eleuthera is This Villa, a stunning white property perched atop the most picturesque ocean cliff on the island. The perfect place for a secluded gathering of friends or family, The Villa has 8 of the 9 rooms currently available surrounding a beautiful pool which overlooks the ocean. The view of The Villa from the nearby cliffs is the perfect point for your wedding, engagement, reunion, or celebration photos.
Each room is tastfully decorated, with rooms climbing up The Villa's dramatic towers. The 3 hotel like rounded rooms makes guests feel like they are in a castle. There are balconies from these rooms to the 2x2 bedroom villas each with full kitchens, living rooms, and large balconies.

How do I get to the Villa?

You can either travel directly by airline from the United States or take a boat from one of the larger Bahamian islands. There are daily direct flights from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Atlanta. Many other daily options are available if flying through Nassau.

Top 10 FAQ's

1. WHERE IS THE VILLA AT ELEUTHERA AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
We are oceanfront on the Atlantic side of North Eleuthera, just a 15-minute drive from North Eleuthera Airport (ELH). We have a separate attachment for this detailing all flights and ground transportation.

2. MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF GUEST THAT CAN STAY IN THE ROOMS?
We are pretty flexible on occupancy, each room has either a king or queen size bed, and we offer some blow-up bedding for additional guests. The 3 tower rooms all have queen size beds. They are hotel-like rooms and you walk outside via the balconies to get to other rooms or the villas. The 2x2 bedroom attached villas are located in the middle of the property and have king beds with twin bunk beds for kids. There are a couple of blow up twin beds if needed. The villas are all under the same roof, however, they include kitchens, living rooms, and large balconies. Sleeping capacity is 14 plus the 2 kids bunk beds.

3. WHERE IS THE NEAREST BEACH?
The closest beaches on the Caribbean side is 5 minutes away. We really like the beach opposite Daddy Joe's restaurant. It's nice to enjoy the beach then grab a bite to eat and a drink at our favorite restaurant.

4. CAN YOU GET DOWN TO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN IN FRONT OF THE PROPERTY?
No, it’s not safe.

5. IS A RENTAL CAR NECESSARY?
Yes, we highly recommend it. A rental car just gives you more freedom to move around. Please note most rental car companies do not accept credit card. You will need to bring cash.

6. DOES THE PROPERTY HAVE WIFI?
Yes, but we are in the Bahamas, so don’t expect great download speeds. The WiFi works best in the middle of the property by the 2 bedroom villas. For checking email booking travel and general stuff its fine.

7. FOOD AND BEV?
Food and Beverages in the Bahamas are typically very expensive. The property has a kitchen that our preferred caterers use. The company is called “Just Imagine Events LTD.” They can cater to any size party of 10 or more and meet any specific dietary needs. The typical breakfast buffet is $18 per person plus Gratuity & VAT.
Dinner typically runs $65-$99 per person plus gratuity & VAT. We have a separate attachment with much more details on the catering options.

8. DRIVING DIRECTIONS?
From North Eleuthera Airport (ELH) to our property is an easy 15-minute drive along the Queen's highway. When you get to the Glass Window Bar and Grill turn left and we are less than 5 minutes away.

9. HOW TO PLACE A PHONE CALL?
USA Cell phones work in the Bahamas. We suggest you have an international travel plan set up prior to your arrival. The Country code in Eleuthera is (242)

10. CURRENCY USED IN ELEUTHERA AND HOW MUCH CASH DO I NEED?
Eleuthera, uses the Bahamian Dollar for its local currency, however, the USD is accepted everywhere for equivalent value. 1USD=1BSD (approximately) Most small businesses don’t take credit cards and ATM’s are limited so we suggest having sufficient cash. Most of the larger resorts accept credit cards.

MANAGING EXPECTATIONS:
Please understand the Bahamas is a beautiful piece of paradise. It is best greatly appreciated for what is, and not what it isn’t. If you want to come to the Bahamas and stay connected to your cell phone, watch 24/7 high speed streaming video, fast download speeds, no power outages, high water pressure, and 1,000 channels then I suggest you go somewhere else.

If you want to turn the TV off, put the phone down and look out the window and experience the beautiful oceanfront views and breeze. Put your toes in the white sand of the Caribbean and enjoy the crystal clear, warm water. Eat with family and friends sitting on the balcony enjoying the great local food…

Then come stay with us, we’d love to have you visit!

Cancelation policy.

Although we are non-refundable, if you notify us that you want to cancel, we will make the dates available on the calendar so if it rents during your stay then you will get back 100%.

In 17 years of advertising on HomeAway with our vacation rentals, we have never yet kept a reservation where the guests didn’t stay.

Please note we are ocean front on the Atlantic, so we experiense a higher than usual deteriation from the salt air/ water. This requires us to constantly touch-up paint and exterior as the salt rusts everything. We do our best to stay on top of this, but please understand it is all ways possible to see some rust and salt wear and tear. We only mention this because one previous guest recently thought we misrepresented the property. Access to the property is a bumby dirt road about 3 minutes from the Queens highway.

Avoid - Not as Described
This place is a dump located off of a bumpy, barely accessible dirt track on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera. We spent an hour there realizing that we’d been scammed – the owner, Troy Wood, markets it as a high-end, recently renovated private villa suitable for memorable events. In reality the place is closer to a dorm or hostel meant for a large group of college kids or a bachelor party. A place to cram in people for a weekend. It’s a rundown, rabbit warren of rooms, some accessible only by going through other bedrooms. Don’t believe the images of a whitewashed exterior, and interiors with modern furniture. The building masonry is poorly maintained, paint is peeling off the walls and roof in flakes, rust stains everywhere. The furniture could be from a second hand store. The appliances in the two rundown kitchens are old, buttons broken, and are low end. The internet service for Wi-Fi router was expired. Bugs roamed the whole place. Doors didn’t lock and all the windows are grimy. One window, next to a ground-floor bed was smashed. None had bug screens, which is important because you'd want to open a window in at least 2 sweat-box bedrooms that didn’t have working air conditioning. We couldn’t find the laundry - not sure there is one. The “caretaker” actually lives in one of the end “turrets” with access to one of our ground floor bedrooms and overlooking the pool. He’s hard to miss because his family kept looking out of the window. The pool decking is warped, wires exposed, the hatches to what we assume is a former wet-bar are unpainted and dilapidated. Plastic chairs were just scattered around. Paint splatters all over the place. The outside tables are cheap and covered in muck. The bottom line is that this place is not what it’s made out to be – a secluded, high-end “villa” for a private event. We scrambled to find another place on short notice and expense for the 5 days we were in Eleuthera. There are plenty of other places with beach access and clean, safe rooms. Calls with the owner go around and around, and VRBO help is non-existent for what is nothing more than a bait and switch scam. We have photos of what this place is really like should you (or VRBO) care to see.

Luxurious Great Service and Stunning Property
First this place is an incredible value at any price. It offers as much or as little seclusion as one would want. It is accessible by an unpaved road. The views of the Atlantic are stunning and each room has a great view. We rented the whole place and were able to give varying degrees of privacy to our guests based upon unique preferences. As you might expect, there are mosquitos etc… bring repellant so you can enjoy the beautiful night sky by the pool. Light pollution is zero and seeing the milky way is likely. If you have a drone – the footage you will obtain from this place will rival anything you already have. Remember it is an Island – things like freshwater and high water pressure can be rare – but Troy and Adrian wouldn’t let you feel those pains. They worked tirelessly to make sure all of our needs were met. For example, when Troy realized we had kids with us he went out of his way to have additional toys, gear, etc…. just for them. He didn’t have to do that, but then again its those touches that make renting places like this so special. When we could not go fishing due to an illness in our group, Adrian was kind enough to find me a large grouper, at my request. When renting a destination in a far away place, there’s so much which can’t be predicted. Will the country have stable facilities, will all amenities work as advertised, etc…. at the end of the day, there’s only so much which can be controlled by the resort operator. Having guys like Troy and Adrian behind the operation are the only guarantees that no matter what you will have a great time – and so we did. Against this back drop, here are some specifics which we were delighted by: Adrian was always nearby and responsive to every request; yet, we also felt completely at home; The property is loaded with features within 25 feet of it – like a beautiful wind carved ledge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean; Beautiful sunrises and sunsets are visible from all over the property; Despite being secluded, there’s an incredible restaurant, only a quarter mile away. The resort is only a stones’s throw from Queen’s Bath. There are two villas each accessible from adjacent wings and also from dedicated entrances; each villa has two large rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms etc… by themselves each villa would be adequate for a family with children; the rooms adjacent to the villas have great views, baths etc… great for a couple. We were there for 7 days and enjoyed every part of it.

Beautiful House, Killer View
The house is beautiful although it could use some maintenance. The view is absolute killer. The live-in caretaker Adrian was very helpful and accommodating as was the cleaning staff. We were there at the busiest time of the year, so transportation for our group of 15 was largely ad hoc and involved rounding up local cab drivers; Adrian, however, came through for us every time. Food, although extremely expensive by US standards, is readily available at markets reasonably close to the house. Weather was perfect, beaches are gorgeous and a good time was had by all!

Absolutely stunning architecture and views.
The view from every room and area of the property is simply breathtaking. I was stunned on arrival by the ocean views and also the gorgeous lush greenery. I loved that I could sit and drink coffee in the morning and see the sunrise over the palms. It was very quiet and a wonderful place to catch your breath. I enjoyed doing a rejuvenating yoga flow on the balcony of my room as I could hear the soothing sounds of the waves against the rocks. I also loved takin short hikes down near the water. The kitchen in the villa has everything you could possibly need to cook for the whole family. There is a manager on site to help navigate things like tourist attractions and grocery runs. Amazing service, clean rooms and common areas with many of the comforts of home without any of the stress.

I've had many vacation rentals and been advertising on HomeAway and VRBO for the past 17 years. My other current vacation rental in Costa Rica has more than 150 "5" star reviews and I truly pride myself on creating a special guest experience.
I'm very excited about this new property in the Bahamas and look forward to creating special memories for our guests for years to come.

Why they chose this property

This property offers a lot. It feels very private and peaceful with incredible views of the Atlantic ocean, and only 5 minutes to beautiful white sand beaches on the caribbean side of the island. One can spend 5 minutes in a car to the boat dock, then another 5 minutes on a boat to Harbor Island where there is a very different experience with lots or restaurants bars and tourism.

Its a beautiful blend of peace and beauty which makes it for a great wedding or event destination.
