Loved out stay!
We had a great weekend in Chicago. The home fit our needs perfectly and had great access to everything we wanted to visit. The parking was great. We loved The bedroom layout and the bathrooms. The owner/manager was there to meet us, answered all the questions we had and even recommended some great restaurants.
Homey on Humboldt Blvd.
This property is lovely and well appointed. The large living room was perfect for our family and friends to stretch out in and the dining table fit all 10 of us for our homemade Thanksgiving dinner. Some board games would have been fun, but there’s Lots to do in Chicago. We had a great stay.
Family time in Chicago
We were having a little grown kid family time and found Lilys lovely VRBO!!!
It was perfect, beautifully outfitted, super clean. Comfortable a wonderful place to stay for the 5 of us!!
Lily was responsive, helpful and a kind Hostess, we for sure will recommend her home to others visiting and happily return on our next visit!
My family stayed with my sister's family at the apartment. It is spacious and nicely decorated. Lilly has everything you need, including a steamer for clothes! She met us upon arrival and helped acclimate us to the apartment and the area.
The apartment is right by the 606 elevated pedestrian and bikeway. There is a bikeshare station up the block. The back yard is really inviting, though the cool temperatures were not, so that will wait for a future visit.
The oven malfunctioned our first day there, and Lilly had a repairperson there by the end of the day. The only issue we had was the internet. It is super slow; it could not be used for work, and streaming video was not possible because of the constant buffering. A couple boosters in the apartment would easily solve that problem.
Our first afternoon in Chicago was damp, cool and windy. My husband and I found lunch at a local Cuban restaurant after checking in and then happily headed back to the apartment to get cozy and warm while looking out the windows of the living room to the trees waving around in the wind along the boulevard. Sure, go out and see the city, but you will be just as happy to get back and settle into your temporary home on Humboldt.
Lilly ‘s place is beautifully maintained and offers the comfort needed after a long day of sightseeing. Great surroundings and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended

About Lilly Rios
I am the daughter of immigrants, who came to the United States to make a better life for themselves and to help my widowed grandmother. I was born in Chicago and grew up in Wrigleyville on the Northside of Chicago which is a vibrant and diversified neighborhood. I have a wonderful husband and an incredible daughter and have lived in our home for almost three decades. For 15 years, I was honored to teach students Interior Design and Architecture at a Design College in Chicago. I love to travel to other countries and experience their culture, language and foods. My favorite cities so far, Amsterdam, Paris, Mexico City and Antwerp. I hope to continue travels to far-off distant lands. I used a home hosting website for my second trip to Paris, and really preferred it to staying in a hotel. It is my primary reason for hosting on HomeAway. I want guests to have the ability to experience Chicago and its unique neighborhoods in a home setting. I enjoy meeting people from different states, countries and from diverse cultures. My favorite foods are enjoyed in the company of my family and dear friends: Roasted Chicken, Margherita style thin-crust Pizza, Grilled vegetables, a nicely poached or grilled Fish, Thai, Vietnamese and Italian food. My favorite books: “To Kill a Mockingbird”, “Music for Chameleons” and the “Harry Potter” series. My favorite music: Bach’s “Concerto for Two Violins in D minor”, Debussy’s “Claire de Lune”, Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma”, Kern & Field’s “The Way You Look Tonight”, Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall”, “Hey You” and “Money”, Beatles’ “Hey Jude”, Marc Anthony’s “El Cantante”, Adele’s “21” album and Sam Smith’s “In the Lonely Hour”. My life motto: “Always treat people as you would like to be treated.”
