This two story lake house is not just on the water. It is out over the water. The fishermen are going to love fishing from all four sides of this lake house. Locally known as a “CAMP”..... not sleek, not rustic. This camp is comfortable and perfect for family and group gathering as well as fishing and hunting excursions. The four-sided boardwalk surrounding the camp features easy access to the water for swimming and easy in and out boat access. There is a picnic table, boat slip, fish and game cleaning station, and a bathroom. The porch is screened and has a big swing for lazy mornings and quiet evenings. The first floor has a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is completely furnished. The second floor includes a deck for viewing breath taking sunsets, a large TV game room with bunk beds, a master bedroom, and a full bath with washer and dryer.
Lake Verret lies inside the Atchafalaya Basin, the largest natural swamp in North America. Just 6 miles from Pierre Part, home of the legendary alligator hunter Troy Landry, made famous by the History Channel's “Swamp People”. Lake Verret is surrounded by 100 year old Bald Cypress trees, laden with flowing Spanish moss, conveniently located just off Highway 1 near Shell beach. The lake is home to alligators, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Blue Herons a wide variety of water fowl. This ancient lake is full of Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill, Sunfish, Catfish and Crappie; known here as “SAC-A-LAIT. Freshwater Drum as large as a man has been caught from the dock of this camp!
Bring your boat and enjoy the adventure on your own or let Allen Marroy host your party or serious fishing expedition. Allen is a lifelong “CAJUN” and five time champion Basketball coach. Allen has fished and hunted the lakes and bayous of Cajun Country his entire life. He knows where to go, when to go and what to use for tackle and bait. He will put you “ON THE FISH.” Allen is also a great Cajun cook and is available for preparing your catch of the day for your plate or the freezer.

Come watch eagles, red shoulder hawks, herons, egrets and others . They swarm around camp to eat left overs from cleaning fish.
