My family absolutely adores Palm Springs and all that it has to offer. During a visit back in 2009, we rented a Mid Century Modern home for the first time - and that's when our affection for all-things "modernism" began. We admire the simplicity: open carports, clerestory windows, exposed concrete block, breezeways, gable and butterfly roof-lines, and large in-ground pools with spectacular mountain views.

Why Rodney chose Twin Palms

Suddenly, it's 1957!

This Twin Palms home has carefully recreated the look and feel of its original (William Krisel) design. Originally completed in 1957 by the Alexander Construction Company, this home is known as the "Gable."

Twin Palms is the first mid-century modern neighborhood built by George Alexander's company. Alexander and Architects Dan Palmer and William Krisel are credited with redefining the architectural landscape of Palm Springs residential real estate. Their success initiated the City's first major housing boom in the 50's and forever changed its architectural landscape.

The home renovation team worked closely with Mr. Krisel during the remodel and restoration of this exciting mid century modern home. The team consulted his archives, now at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, attempting to return the home to the look and feel that it had when first completed. The floor plan, a masterpiece of space planning, continues to work beautifully for today's lifestyle.


What makes this house unique

This Palm Springs Modern Classic was designated historic in January, 2013 (HSPB 85).

We are proud preservationist. We are honored to serve as stewards to one of the many "starchitects" found in the Twin Palms neighborhood - and happy to open the home for others to enjoy.

A wonderful place

We stayed there during the Modernism week and we were just in! The place is stylish and very well equipped (loved the tempurpedic beds so confortable) . We enjoyed the heated pool with the view on the mountains and the very nice neighbourhood. The concierge was super nice. We recommend 100% and keep the address for a future stay.

Best place to stay in Palm Springs!!

We really enjoyed the stay at this property. Its 100% as described plus much more! (They even provide Tylenol, first aid kit, batteries and flashlights in case you need). Its very clean, the linen and towels have a fresh detergent scent. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The pool was super delicious. The Property manager is great, very helpful and willing to please. I will definitely return and I recommend this property 100%.

Relaxing vacation and great place to stay

We were looking for the authentic Palm Springs experience and found it here. The home was immaculate with furniture that really suited the style of house and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we even did a full Thanksgiving Dinner. The washer/dryer was a bonus and was located in such a way as to not heat up the house.

The backyard and pool were well laid out with a beautiful view and we also had a great time relaxing around the fire pit with friends and family in the evening.

Even though we were fortunate to have record breaking temps the week we were there, we never had to use the AC as the nights cooled off nicely.

We were even able to enjoy the ambience of the indoor fireplace once or twice.

Rodney was a pleasure to work with and even after we changed our minds about heating the pool, he responded within minutes and set the pool heat remotely. Nice feature!!

Thank you for the care and detail of this home. Would love to return in the future.

Important Documents:
To satisfy the City of Palm Springs' Vacation Rental Ordinance, guest will be provided three documents for review. They include 1) Rental Agreement, 2) Good Neighbor Brochure, and 3) the City's Statement of Rules and Regulations.

Primary guest is ask to review, sign and return Rental Agreement - and include a copy of a government issued identification (ID). ID can include a Drivers License or Passport. Please be sure the name on identification matches name on reservation. Mismatching names can make it difficult or impossible to check-in.

Home Security:
Security on this vacation rental includes a home alarm system and outside video cameras. The home alarm is armed upon arrival and guest access code is provided at time of check-in.

A departure checklist will be provided ahead of your scheduled departure; additional charges may apply for stains on carpet, furnishings, bedding, and excessively dirty ovens, stove-tops, BBQ grills, dirty dishes, and excess trash in the home. Items needing extra cleaning at departure may be charged to guest or deducted from guest deposit.
