About this property

Knoll House is a custom designed frame building with four bedrooms - each with private bath, and a great room with living, dining and kitchen areas. The master suite has a walk in closet and a private deck. The first floor bedroom is handicap accessible, and also has a private deck. Every room in the house has wonderful views. Both houses feature period furnishings, a collection of antique quilts, laundry facilities and cable television.

Secluded but conveniently located, Knoll House is within minutes of the airport, historic Fairbanks, the University of Alaska Museum, riverboat rides on the Chena River, gold mining and the Alaska Oil Pipe Line.

Knoll House is adjacent to Fjell Blikk Hytte a custom build log lodge that sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with two baths. Fjell Blikk Hytte is available in the summer for large groups beyond the capacity of Knoll House. The houses rent separately.

Great cabin

Great cabin for 2 families or one big family. The house had everything we needed and grocery stores were close. Norman was available by phone and just down the road. Loved that all bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The wood burning fireplace was really warm and cozy.

Northern Lights

The property was in a great location, not far from the airport or town but felt like we were all alone in the wilderness. My husband and I traveled with 2 of my sister-in-law’s, so 4 bedrooms with each having their own bath was great. The kitchen is well stocked with various spices and cooking needs. I would say that you should check in before going to the grocery store, the cabin has a lot of the necessities already there. We stayed 7 nights and were able to see the northern lights from the cabin on 4 of those nights.

Don’t pass this one up!

Four couples stayed here for nine days. It was absolutely perfect! It is in a convenient location, close to all things Fairbanks, but secluded with no neighbors on top of you. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, firewood was plentiful, and we enjoyed the sled. Norman, the property manager was pleasant and helpful and checked on us several times. If we make it back to Fairbanks we will definitely stay here again!

Family Trip

Norman's cabin was perfect for our family trip to Alaska. The cabin was 100% as shown. There were 6 of us traveling together and it was great to have our own rooms with private baths. The location was great for exploring the area. The cabin also has an amazing view overlooking Fairbanks. Great driveway for sledding if you visit in the winter. I would definitely recommend this cabin!! Thanks again Norman!!

Delightful Winter Stay

We loved our stay at Knoll House. Cozy and quaint property just a short drive outside downtown Fairbanks. We all agreed it was one of the most well-stocked homes we’ve ever rented before which speaks to the host’s hospitality and care of the property. Amazing perk to have a bathroom in every room. Host greeted us the day we arrived and made us feel welcome and let us know how we could reach him if we needed anything else. Thank you! Highly recommend this group friendly rental. We look forward to returning to Fairbanks and hopefully staying again!

The property has spectacular views of the Tanana Valley and the Alaska Range. Located on seven forested acres it seems very remote, but in fact is only 10 minutes from Fairbanks.
