Beautiful private estate with working five acre vineyard.
Property is secluded and quiet yet is located minutes away from Charlottesville. Situated in the middle of world class wineries and other historical attractions.
We sleep up to 10 people in five bedrooms (double occupancy). The beautiful and expansive building overlooks the vineyard and sits in the middle of 36 private acres which include hiking trails and a large lake.

Will not Regret Booking this!

We had an unforgettable stay at Ed's beautiful property! From the moment of arrival , Ed's hospitality shone through, ensuring we felt welcome and at ease throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the place was exceptional, and the attention to detail in every corner made it feel like a true home away from home. The property itself is a hidden gem, boasting stunning interiors and equally breathtaking exteriors. Every inch of the space was thoughtfully designed, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. Additionally, its proximity to local attractions and amenities made exploring the area a breeze. Overall, our experience at Ed's property exceeded all expectations, and we can't wait to return. Amazing place! Great for a group!

Staying at Ed's property was an overall wonderful experience! We had 12 women for a bachelorette and the house was gorgeous and comfortably fit us all. Ed was a lovely host and was very responsive whenever I had a question. The grounds of the house were equally as beautiful as the house. There was a fire pit, and we were able to make s'mores one of the nights. It's about a 15-20 min drive to most of the vineyards. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for a large gathering

This is a large, wonderful house for staying together as a group. As noted, there are 3 private bedrooms. The loft has 4 more separate spaces/rooms-- each with walls and a door, but open ceilings. The loft is cute and clean and comfortable, but the noise from the main rooms does carry up to the loft. We found eye masks and ear plugs/white noise helpful for the family members that slept up there. The grounds are gorgeous (vineyard, pond, woods). The deck, patio, and porch were great for sitting on and relaxing. Ed couldn't have been nicer! He was great at communicating and answering questions. This is a lovely house and setting!

Fantastic property

I can’t say enough about Meriwether Springs. Ed is great to work with and was very responsive. The house allows plenty of room to spread out. It was well stocked and clean. The property is beautiful.

We have renovated this beautiful vacation and event center and installed the vineyard . We have owned the property for the past 7 years and have made many improvements to it since.

Why they chose this property

We have lived here most of our lives. We bought this property because we believe that it offers the best of both worlds. It is quiet, secluded and private yet is located minutes from the many attractions of the Charlottesville area. It also has the historic aura of being part of the original Meriwether Lewis family estate (One of the original springhouses is situated on the property)

What makes this property unique

This is a beautiful and expansive estate which you can enjoy as an exclusive vacation rental. You can also take advantage of the property's close proximity to other excellent wineries and breweries as well as the natural and historic beauty of the Charlottesville region. The property offers the best combination of privacy and access to special attractions and events anywhere in the area.
