Beautiful home! Great location to explore both Zion and Bryce. Absolutely loved our stay. here!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five stayed at this southern Utah home in the first week of June 2018 and it was awesome!

We flew into Vegas and made the 3.5 hour drive to the cabin. On our way to the cabin we stopped at Cedar City, UT to grab groceries for the week. We did this so we could cook family meals in the cabin's kitchen, which was well-stocked with knives, pots, pans, and general supplies. We had everything we needed, including a decent grill on the porch, to cook our meals.

The real reason we went to southern UT was so we could travel to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. This mid-way cabin was absolutely perfect, and we were less than an hour from each park. (Piece of advice: Get to either park by no later than 8am if you want a parking spot)

We found the cabin itself exactly as advertised, and the online pictures were just as they appeared. It has a beautiful large living room and kitchen area that allowed our teenage children plenty of space to relax after hiking. The master bedroom loft was perfect for my wife and I, and the two basement bedrooms worked well for our children. There are three bathrooms and two showers, which gave us plenty of bathroom space. Lastly, the exterior wrap-around porch was a nice place to hang out during the early morning and late evenings.

One other point worth noting is where the cabin is located. It is in a remote little subdivision, which we appreciated. This remote location is conducive to natural wildlife, which meant we saw lots of animals feeding in the valley pasture in the back of the cabin. Additionally, this remote location meant the stars were amazing late at night.

As I previously stated, this cabin was everything we wanted. Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks are absolutely beautiful, and we had an amazing week of vacation. We made some great family memories during this week, and this cabin was a big part of that.

Nice, but had a problem not handled well

  • 3 of 5

Nice home, very clean, great central location for Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Zion, etc. as described. We were two senior couples, one staying in upper loft bedroom, which is open to the main floor great room, kitchen, etc. The loft bathroom window has no covering and faces the neighboring house - so lacks privacy. The AC was not balanced, so the loft was too warm while the lower level bedrooms very cold. We stayed in the lower level, below the great room area. Noticed carpeting was wet near lower level toilet; contacted manager 6am first morning, but by 6pm not looked at. Finally checked out that evening - a leaky toilet, and it was shut off for what ended up the remainder of our stay -- we were told they could not find a repair person (remote location, Father's day weekend). So we climbed up and down the stairs to use the main floor toilet several times a night -- an issue with bad knees. This also disturbed the couple sleeping in the open loft above. The manager indicated compensation would be in order to make up for our inconvenience, but the owner did not agree. They were nice to let us check-in 2 hours early, and apologized for the inconvenience. We have rented many houses and typically a broken toilet is given higher priority. We understand things happen; the missing stars are because the problem was not handled well, the lack of privacy in the loft, and the temperature imbalance between levels.

Double booked- Did not ecperience

  • 1 of 5

We arrived at the house and saw a car in front of the house and shoes in front of the door. Turns out the house was double booked and luckily after several attempts our contact found us a place to accommodate us. We lost valuable time and very frustrated that we had to go through this ecperience while on vacation

Great area to reconnect with family!

  • 5 of 5

The property was everything we needed to meet our adult sons and their girlfriends. The accommodations worked for us, being able to go to Zion and Brice in a long weekend. Just like any rental, they need new nonstick pans and sharper knives, otherwise it was great! I would recommend this "home on the range" to people that enjoy being surrounded by beauty. Thanks again to the owners for the great advise! We had a memorable trip! LeAnn

Beautiful cabin. Close to many great parks and scenic drives.

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was very well maintained. Directions to house and info at the house regarding our stay were very clear and detailed. House was thoroughly cleaned before we got there as the cleaning lady was just leaving as we arrived at 4pm. We had 2 couples and had good nights of rest on the beds as they were comfortable. Furniture was well maintained and comfortable. We used the fire pit several nights and the gas grill once. House was well stocked with supplies.

We saw several deer out in the valley below the house and several chipmunks during our stay.

We visited Zion Natl. Park two days (1hr 10min drive), Bryce Canyon (40 min drive) and Cedar Breaks (35 min drive) on different days during our stay. The drive to each of those locations from the cabin was really scenic. Every drive felt like it was not nearly as long due to the scenery.

We loved the cabin and will be looking for more opportunities to come back and stay again.

Beautiful Home.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and is in a great location between Zion and Bryce. The kitchen was well stocked and had a grill on a wonderful deck. We enjoyed watching the deer and birds from the deck. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the bedrooms since the master bedroom is an open loft and the lower bedrooms were in the basement area. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the window in the master bathroom - the window above the tub really needs to have blinds also. With the house sitting lower than the road, it just didn't feel private. Extra towels and wash clothes would have been appreciated.
