About this property

Executive Home Rental in San Luis Obispo for long term stays, fully furnished

Remodeled 3 x 2.5 baths, plus office. Furnished executive home vacation rental for short-term/long-term housing. Includes water, electric, trash, internet, phone, and gas utilities with garage and large driveway for parking.

This home is designed to be rented for short-term monthly housing, not short-term weekends. It is priced at market rates for monthly furnished, utilities included, and is available for up to 6 months.

The home has amazing Bishop's Peak and San Luis Mountain views. It is just a 15 minute walk to downtown or Cal Poly. Walking distance to park, shopping, restaurants, coffee, UPS, and more.

Royal mahogany hardwood with in-floor heating throughout for comfortable living. Exec kitchen, Sub-Zero, island cooking, maple cabinets, bar and separate dining area.

Pool table with optional table tennis top (stored in garage), and 65" mounted Samsung Smart TV. No cable, but fast internet for Netflix, Prime, HBO, and other streaming options.

There is an upstairs office with balcony and outstanding views of San Luis Mountain. This is included. We also include office chair and adjustable height desk.

The deck and back yard have views to the NW of Bishop's Peak (rear of home) and San Luis Mountain can be viewed from the front of house, or from the rear deck. Also has Traeger smoker and propane BBQ, patio heaters, and natural gas fire pit that allows warm, comfortable sunset viewing!

Hike downtown for lunch, then pick up the trail-head for San Luis Mountain (101 and Higuera St.). Pick up the trail and head Northwest back toward the house. You'll find amazing views as you return to the neighborhood located on the slopes of San Luis Mountain.

Located in historic San Luis Obispo, CA on the central coast and right in the middle of wine country; Paso Robles, Edna Valley, Santa Margarita, Templeton. Approx 9 miles to Moro Bay, Pismo, Oceano Dunes, and Avila Beach.

Walk or bike downtown or to Cal Poly, both are about a mile from the house. We are also within a short drive to numerous lakes which are great for wake boarding, fishing, or kayaking.

We have great restaurants, unique shops, and amazing walking paths along the creek downtown. Frisbee golf in wide open parks, museums, hiking and wineries are also waiting to be explored. We have spectacular views in every direction. Start walking and you'll be hiking the beautiful trails within minutes.

The trail heads to either mountain summit are a short neighborhood walk away and the views from the top are amazing. Our neighborhood is very quiet, safe, and tranquil, perfect for a relaxing longer term stay, or a work trip that requires some concentration.

Our completely remodeled home is late 50's era, located right on the slopes of San Luis Mountain looking over to Bishop's Peak. We added about 1,700 sq. feet, total 2,900 sq. feet, so it's very comfortable and the layout flows well between bedrooms and living area.

The home has an open space design, upscale but still very homey. Master bathroom has a walk-in shower. The master bedroom #1 has a very comfortable queen BeautyRest pillow top bed. Bedroom #2 is new queen memory foam bed, completely redesigned with original hardwood oak flooring. A queen bed is in Bedroom #3.

The entire house has radiant in-floor heating, including the original section of the home which has also been insulated.

The office and balcony is the only room and available space that is upstairs. The rest of your living space is downstairs.

The space flows well and is very comfortable for a longer executive stay where a furnished home is required for temporary housing.

We'll consider any stays, as short as a month, but our preference is executive or seasonal rental 1-3 months. We travel in our RV while our home is rented, so please inquire and we'll discuss.

We're looking forward to your visit!

Fantastic views in fabulous quiet neighborhood
Best view of Bishop Peak in SLO. Nestled in gorgeous neighborhood with a beautiful patio to enjoy the views. A very comfortable, clean & well-appointed house, that is nicely decorated. The owners couldn't have been nicer to communicate with. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Russ and Cheryl.

Between the Peaks
Outstanding. Russ and Cheryl’s home sits between Madonna Mountain and Bishop’s Peak (great for hikers). The home is much more spacious than what the photos show with many different areas where to relax or visit with family and friends. We enjoyed access to Netflix and HBO, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and especially the sunsets over Bishops Peak. The house is equipped with EVERYTHING you might need. We strongly recommend staying at this home. Russ and Cheryl are very helpful and friendly as is Bonnie, the property manager.

The perfect home in the perfect central coast town
Russell and Cheryl's home was wonderful! The house and yards are beautiful (the pictures of Bishop's peak are even more stunning in person). Everything one would expect was provided for--the kitchen was easy to cook and entertain in with everything one could possibly need, the beds are comfy, and the home was very clean. As guests, it was obvious that Russell and Cheryl have put time and attention into making sure their guests feel comfortable and at home during their stay. The house is located close to everything: minutes from Cal Poly, grocery stores, downtown, great freeway access for trips to the beach, wine tasting, hiking--all that the beautiful central coast has to offer. Hiking San Luis (Madonna) Mtn is steps from their front door, no car needed. Russell and Cheryl were easy to work with, available to answer questions but not intrusive. Overall, just a great experience and I would highly recommend!

Long-time SLO residents. Kids are grown and left the state, so we travel when our home is rented. We're mostly in our RV while we travel, but manage an overseas trip every once in a while. We're gone 6 to 9 months out of the year while you enjoy our home, our awesome neighborhood, and amazing community. Renting out our home allows travel to happen, so thank you for staying in our home!

Why they chose this property

It's in SLO, the perfect place for a "working vacation". Spend the season in charming San Luis Obispo and take in all the wine tasting, farmer's market, downtown, restaurants, and beach time you can handle.

What makes this property unique

If you like to hike and bike, this location is a gem. You can walk out the front door, up the street and enter the Madonna ranch where there is a hiking trailhead. It's not used by the public, only locals. (Enter at top of Luneta).

Try our "Urban Hike". It's a combination of downtown hike through Higuera street and San Luis Mountain back to home: Walk about a mile to downtown through the neighborhood and get lunch, a beer, and do some shopping. When you've had enough of historic SLO, it's a short walk (500 yards) down Higuera to the Madonna mountain trailhead. It's really San Luis Mountain but you can cross over the mountain hiking/biking trail right back to our neighborhood. About a mile hike to downtown, then another mile back over the mountain.

If you want to explore Poly and/or Poly Canyon, you can walk down the street, turn right on foothill blvd. and keep walking. It takes you on to the Poly campus. Another mile and you're in Poly Canyon for a great hike. Search hiking in San Luis Obispo and you'll find dozens of great hikes.
