Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in Puglia and how well organised the trulli was. The little touches were fantastic like having cling film, olive oil, coffee, tea, salt, fly swats, dishwasher tablets, washing detergent, umbrellas (luckily not needed), liquid soap etc etc – I know these sound minor but it’s just less things to think of when you get somewhere.

The area is fantastic and only 15 minutes to so many different towns and villages. We really enjoyed the food and wine and it was really nice to be in an area full of Italians rather than English! We enjoyed everywhere that we visited and every restaurant we ate in all for different reasons. Sometimes it may have been better food but at other restaurants it may have been a better atmosphere but all in all we had no bad meals at all. We also thought the value was excellent in this area too – where else can you go to a Michelin starred restaurant and eat for €100!

Thank you also for sorting out the few minor issues we had so quickly. Also can I say that Annie was fab – very helpful and good recommendations about local shops and restaurants etc. your local mini market has the best focaccia….

We left a really long message in your guest book – we love reading other people’s recommendations so hope these help other people’s time in Italy too.

Thank you again for a great holiday

A fantastic holiday in a lovely location

  • 5 of 5

We have now returned from a lovely fortnight in the Trulli and had a fabulous time. A truly relaxing place to stay with everything provided for an enjoyable holiday. Spent lots of time relaxing at the Trulli in the grounds and made plentiful use of the pool. Annie was on hand to help and met us on arrival and took us to the Trulli. The weather was great and we managed to get out most days to explore the wonderful towns and villages around, our favourite of which was Locorotondo about 15 minutes drive away. The Trulli is ideally situated for exploring the area with the coast and numerous beaches about 30 minutes away. Finally whilst we did a small amount of cooking at the Trulli, we enjoyed several memorable meals out eating local produce cooked superbly - all in all a truly memorable holiday and a great way to celebrate my wife 50th Birthday.

A 'trulli' wonderful wedding anniversary

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at this wonderful trulli, celebrating our wedding anniversary. Set in a peaceful location with wonderful views; the accommodation was tastefully furnished and well equipped. Annie provided us with a warm welcome and it was reassuring to know that she was on hand if we needed her (not that we did!) The pool and outdoor space were terrific. We spent many evenings watching the sunsets and star gazing! We relaxed and rested most of the time but did venture out to sightsee including the nearby beaches, Grotte de Castellana, Ostuni and Alberobello. With plenty more to do and see, we will definitely be making a return visit.

Owner's Response: We are so happy that we could help you celebrate your anniversary the 'Puglian Way' and that your entire family had a most enjoyable stay at TrulliVistas. We too have done our fair share of sunset gazing and star watching . . . one of the reasons we love this trullo. We do hope you have opportunity to return in the not-too-distant future and look forward to hosting your family once again. Glenn and Steve

Beautiful grounds and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location for exploring this area and the trullo looked after us well. It was particularly thoughtfully equipped ( for example a cool box ) and very comfortable. The real highlight were the grounds which were beautifully planted and with lots of different sitting areas. Would definitely recommend.

An absolutely incredible & unique place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely incredible & unique place to stay! The Trulli itself had everything needed and more for a short or long stay, well equipped, clean and simply beautiful, an immaculately restored and beautifully furnished old Italian farmhouse. With pool and sun deck just great for lazy days and evening bbq’s. The location is perfect, approx. 15 minutes drive from Ostuni City (a breathtaking ancient white walled City), the Trulli is situated alongside the old aquaduct path which is perfect for bikes rides and walks through the valleys to the neighbouring towns. The views around are just indescribable. It’s a great location to explore the region, with just approx. 20 minute drive to the beaches.

We were greeted on arrival and escorted to Trulli Santoro where we were shown how everything worked (chilled bottle of prosecco waiting for us as a welcome gift was a nice touch!). We also had a local contact host available at any time to assist with any questions we had, and we did! From organising taxis to hiring bikes.

Given all the above this rental is great value for money. This is the most peaceful and relaxing holiday I've ever had, and I honestly cant praise it enough, an incredible experience I hope to repeat and share with other friends next summer. Thank you so much!

Fabulous Second Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Having visited last year we knew exactly what to expect but with last year's trip being in April we had the added bonus of the pool to look forward to this time. Since our previous trip the kitchen and bathrooms have been refitted so the already stunning property is now even more attractive. We love the area and this trullo is so perfectly located for sightseeing. The beautiful towns of Ostuni & Martina Franca are easily accessible as is the coast. I love the fact that Puglia is still so unspoilt and typically Italian. There's not much more I can say other than come and see for yourself and with this amazing trullo as your base you really can't go wrong. Steve and Glenn have done a fabulous job!

On a scale from 1-10 this is 1000!

I don't think there is enough space for me to write about how wonderful our stay was at TrulliVistas. Let me start by saying that the communication with the owners from the beginning was excellent! All the pictures you see on the web site are exactly (well really more awesome) then what is shown.

The day we arrived the owner somehow remembered that it was my birthday. There was a beautiful birthday cake with pink candles, and a bottle of prosecco waiting for us in the refrigerator!!! The stay was simply perfect from beginning to end. We were even lucky enough to meet Glenn and have a few cups of coffee and delightful conversation with him.

The trulli is beautifully decorated, sparkly clean, filled with information on places to visit, and just a wonderful place to unwind after a full day of sight seeing. I can only imagine how wonderful the in ground pool is in the summer. I also need to mention their property manager Annie. Annie is a delight and always available in case something happens at the Trulli. In this case, it was us setting of the alarm and having security show up. We didn't speak Italian, and the security officer didn't speak English...but Annie did at 10:30pm!

I would 100% stay here again, or perhaps at another property that the owners have in the area if we have a larger group.

Thank you Glenn for making this a memorable vacation in Puglia XOXO

Owner's Response: Thank you RIta! It was a treat getting to meet you and swap stories over a few cups of brew :) And we are so pleased that you were able to celebrate your birthday WEEK at TrulliVistas and that our home appears to have exceeded your expectations. We do hope you have the opportunity to return to Puglia in the not-too-distant future, if you can fit a return visit in between all your other travel plans . . . you are a true 'traveller' vs tourist and a globetrotter after my own heart. Glenn (and Steve and Annie).

Car: necessary

Our romantic trullo with pool & two lamia sits on a rural countryside hilltop in the Valle d'Itria amongst a grove of olive & almond trees, and is ideally placed for easy access (less than 10km) to Martina Franca, Ceglie, Cisternino & Ostuni. Ostuni's beaches are accessible in about 25 minutes by car. The property has 180-degree views of the surrounding hills and valleys, dotted with trulli, masseria and local vineyards -- where you can visit and taste the locally produced wines. Local amenities e.g. supermarket, restaurants, bars are only short drives (or bicycling!) away. Martina Franca hosts an internationally-reknown music festival (13 July - 4 Aug '13) and the UNESCO World Heritage site, Alberobello, is a 15km drive passing through the beautiful city of Locorotondo. The Adriatic, westward to the white beaches of Campomarino, is about an hour's drive. Lecce, the beautiful baroque jewel, makes for a perfect day trip. Brindisi Airport: 40 min Bari Airport: 1 hr 10min

Other Activities: Beaches, wine tasting, great Puglian restaurants, site-seeing
