North Buncombe Park is approximately two miles from the vacation rental. Facilities include swimming pool (Open Memorial Day weekend through first week of August), outdoor tennis courts, cross country trail, track, soccer and baseball fields. Glass blowing studio and gallery right around the corner. Pizza & Subs restaurant, Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant, Nail Salon, Hair Salon, and Post Office right across the street.

As the Property Manager living on the premises, I am able to provide you with assistance getting around this beautiful area, as well as answer some of your questions. I've lived in these mountains for over 30 years, and raised my children here. I appreciate the beauty and majesty of this area, and talk about it whenever I'm traveling. If you've been here before, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't visited the mountains of North Carolina, then you're in for a treat. I've lived in many places around the world, but have chosen this area as my home. It brings out the best in people!

Weaverville is a beautifull town with friendly people, great restaurants, close to so many outdoor activities (Hiking, Kayaking, Rafting, Fishing, Mountain Biking, Cycling, Skiing, Zip Lines), and all that the city of Asheville has to offer just a short ten minute drive from here.

You will be within walking distance (3/4 mile) of downtown Weaverville’s great restaurants, art galleries, museum, and grocery store. Just 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 20 minutes to Biltmore Estate. Ten minutes from Downtown Asheville, and five minutes to the French Broad River with some of the best kayaking, canoeing, and tubing around. Navitat Zip Line Canopy Tours is fifteen minutes down the road, and Nantahala Outdoor Center just 15 minutes away. For Winter sports, Wolf Laurel is 20 minutes north.

The Healing House of Weaverville is a mile down the road, and is a great place to go for your relaxing massage, facials, Acupuncture, and Reiki. The Staff there will be glad to personalize your 'Me/US Weekend'.

Restaurants within walking distance include Blue Mountain Pizza (Mountain Express 2013 Best of WNC), Glass Onion, The Creperie, Mike's Main Street Grill, Twisted Laurel Restaurant and Pub, Soba Sushi, and Well Bred Bakery. There's plenty of live music daily.

Great place and very comfortable.

Although we had to cut our trip short due to the hurricane, this condo was very comfortable and we plan to rent again for family trips. Steve was awesome to work with and the condo was a great size and well appointed.

Decent location to grocery stores near by which was great. The owner was very communicate and helpful which was also great. The property was accommodating, but you do need to be prepared for loud foot traffic above. Overall pretty good. Thanks.

Great place to stay

The apartment was exactly as pictured. It was clean and met all of our needs. It was very convenient to get to the attractions we were visiting and was nice to come back at the end of the day for a very comfortable night. Steve was wonderful to work with and was very prompt with his communication. I appreciated his recommendations of things to do in the area as well. Would highly recommend!

A great find, easy drive to Asheville

Great spot for a quick getaway with close friends. He condo was very clean and had everything we needed, including extra towels. The fresh coffee was a nice touch. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen was very spacious and fully furnished. The porches being accessible from both bedrooms was fantastic...a great place to enjoy a quiet morning. The only minor complaint was that the guest bedroom got a little warm at night, no ceiling fans, but it was July after all.

Steve was a fantastic host. After I booked, he sent a note to ask a few questions about what we were looking to do in the area, and provided some food recommendations.

Definitely would recommend this to any couples or small families looking for convenient and affordable option in the Asheville area.
