LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION . . . This lovely cottage centered just off 2nd. St. is in the most desired area of Long Beach - BELMONT SHORE. For those warm summer temps, a "GEM" of a property with A/C as well as a PRIVATE GARAGE. Why not stay where it's an easy five minute walk to all of the nice boutiques, pubs, restaurants, beach and bay? If you're bringing children, your older kids will love the beach on the peninsula with waves or . . . we're also close to the bay where youngsters can sit along the water with sand toys where the water is calm and "wave free". Enjoy water activities close by . . . kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, or just floating around on a raft. Sailors also love our location as we're a 10 minute drive to the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) our property is the perfect location for those out of town Regattas!

The kitchen has it all - french door refrigerator, double oven with convection, 6 burner gas range, dishwasher, microwave and 12 cup coffee maker. If you enjoy cooking outdoors, our new BBQ awaits your grilling expertise! Whether you're enjoying the warmer summer months or the cooler winter season, central heating and air conditioning will keep you feeling comfortable!

We're equipped with high speed internet, FREE WiFi, cable, three flat screen TV's - a 50' flat screen in the ”family” room, “master” bedroom and one in the middle “queen” bedroom. We provide high quality bed linens, towels, and there's no need to bring a blow dryer as we keep two on site..

Take advantage of the coastal air . . . relax, sunbathe or BBQ off the private gated side yard or newly built back yard seating area with daybed. If you're a "people watcher" enjoy the table and chair set out in front under the umbrella during those warmer summer months!

Once you've arrived at Maison de Fleurs cottage, you don’t really need a car to enjoy Belmont Shores, Naples, Belmont Heights, several beaches or parks nearby because you're in close proximity to just about everything on foot. Our property is close... yet just far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet to read a book or take a nap!

For some of the local activities: Take a tour of the famous Queen Mary, visit the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific or if you have time - take the ferry to Catalina island. Go whale watching and most likely you'll get to see some dolphins frolicking alongside the boat. Again, there is quite a large selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques within walking distance. You might enjoy riding a bike or walking along the canals of Naples Island to look at beautiful homes, boats and/or beaches. If you don't feel like walking, consider a gondola ride and relax while you enjoy the scenery by water! Visit the Long Beach Art Museum or our local Performing Art Center.

For your convenience, we have provided a notebook on site with detailed information on restaurants/menus, activities, etc.

**Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm is a 30 minute drive . . . or take an Uber/Lift and bypass parking fee.

If you're visiting the Long Beach Convention Center, we're a 10 minute drive along the coastline. There’s also an “hourly” bus that will also shuttle you to Shoreline Village a- another area with shops, restaurants and sightseeing.

The property is an easy drive to South Coast Plaza, Huntington Beach's popular 'surf city' or Seal Beach. Look at the map and see how close you are to many of the great destinations Southern California has to offer.

AIRPORT SUGGESTIONS
(LGB) Long Beach Airport - (15 minutes from property)
(LAX) Los Angeles Inter. Airport (35 minutes from property)
(SNA) Orange County Airport is (30 minutes from property)

Timewise, LGB is much easier getting 'in and out' of than LAX as it's much smaller and very close to our cottage. SNA (also known as John Wayne Airport) is also a smaller airport and located in Orange County. Timeframes can vary depending on the time of day and current traffic conditions.

'Belmont Shore' is a very unique area and is the most desired destination in Long Beach due to the surrounding shoreline that 'hugs' three sides of this charming community.

EAST LIVINGSTON DR. -- BAY SHORE AVE. -- EAST APPIAN WAY -- EAST OCEAN BLVD.

If you desire to be within WALKING distance to all of the shops, restaurants, pubs, and boutiques of 2nd Street, this is the place! The 'downtown' area is NOT considered Belmont Shore. Staying within the true boundaries will allow you to enjoy the area without having to drive and park your vehicle. Enjoy a property that includes the use of our private onsite garage.

As shown on-line, this property is on one level throughout the interior. It does however have a raised front porch as well as raised back porch with three steps upward. It's in a location where bungalows and cottages were built in the early 1920's and is NOT suitable for guests requiring ADA Standards ( "Americans with Disabilities Act") requiring assistance or wheel chair.

Although our listing indicates a "FIRM" cancellation policy, after signing our Standard Rental Contract we want you to be aware that we understand emergencies can happen. If you have the need to cancel your reservation, we will reopen those dates making every effort to rebook them. If we're able to rerent your dates, you will be refunded for those dates less a $100 cancellation fee as well as the service fee VRBO retains. These details are also reflected in our Standard Rental Agreement and want our guests to know THIS ALLOWANCE LEAVES OUR GUESTS WITH MORE FLEXIBILITY than the "FIRM" rental option indicated on our VRBO listing.

We are concerned with keeping YOU as well as ourselves and housekeeping healthy! We continue to launder our linens using very hot water and with added bleach to our "solid whites". We also continue to disinfect high touch surfaces to include tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, appliances, handles, toilets, bathtub/shower faucets, sinks, exterior keypads, temperature control unit, etc. As it’s impossible to guarantee a COVID free environment unless you're in a medical facility or hospital "clean room", we want you to be aware our property is cleaned BEFORE and AFTER every guests stay. We continue to urge our guests to routinely wash your hands, continue to follow safety guidelines and wear a mask when recommended by our local government officials.

We require our "Standard Rental Contract" to be signed and returned to us upon receipt of all accepted bookings as your "selected dates" are then "blocked off" on line once your deposit has been made. This contract details your payments, dates, etc. etc. per the agreement made through this site. This property is solely managed by the owner of property vs. a management company.

Amazing on all levels!
This property is a must for anyone visiting the area. Location 5++. Home 5++. The host OMG! They have thought of everything 5+++. There is a garage for parking, but we had a big car and managed with street parking and creativity! Was never a problem. We would absolutely come again. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Southern California. Thanks Kelly for a wonderful experience.

Great Location
Property is in a great location, literally steps from 2nd St. And a short walk to the beach. The house itself was perfect, 3 large bedrooms, a backyard that is amazing and all the amenities. Kelly was responsive from the moment we reserved the place and was the perfect host. Strongly recommend this place, everything was perfect.

Maison de Fleurs
Kelly was fantastic from my first question before even booking the property until departure. She seemed more like a family friend, very responsive, inviting and more than happy to answer any questions we had. My daughter and her friends loved the house and had a truly memorable trip, in part to Kelly's wonderful hospitality. Would highly recommend this home and Kelly!

It's my hope you enjoy the property as I do! Just a few houses off 2nd street, you won't run out of new and interesting things to do. This cottage is in the best location if you desire close proximity to great beaches, restaurants, bakeries, pubs to include Alamitos Bay and Yacht Club! Enjoy sitting on one of the local 2nd street benches just to people watch or take a short stroll up the street and walk along the beach with 'waves', the bay (it's calm and great for younger kids) or the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Be sure to check out the 'location tab' to see just how great the location is. Enjoy the advantage of having the ability to take a short walk to just about everywhere!

Why they chose this property

Once you've arrived, you'll appreciate the private back and side yard as well as the gated front yard. Your proximity to banks, dry cleaners, drug store, post office, massage, salon, etc. is all within walking distance - minutes away. It's also fun to rent a bike and ride along the bayside or the boardwalk along the ocean. If you're a coffee drinker and don't feel like making a pot at 'home' - there are several coffee houses a few minutes to the left of the property . . . or a 10 minute walk to the right!

What makes this property unique

Enjoy all that the 'Shore' has to offer without ever needing to get behind the wheel. The weather here on Southern California's coast is wonderful. As three sides of Belmont Shores is "hugged" by water, you're sure to enjoy this seaside community. You also might enjoy the 'Farmer's Market' situated in the parking lot near the bay, this market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Grab what you need for the week, or . . . head across the lot to the weekly Art and Craft fair - both are held at East Marina Drive south of East 2nd Street.

Whatever you choose to do here, come stay at the cottage . . . enjoy the ocean breeze, the beaches, the friendly people and all of the comforts 'Maison de Fleurs' cottage has to offer.
