Simple clean home surrounded by nature and beauty.

At the bay:
Private southern facing sandy beach on West Grand traverse Bay with views of Power Island and distant views of Traverse City lights. Watch the sunrise over Old Mission Peninsula from the waters edge. Charcoal and lighter fluid are ready at the deck to BBQ on the grill. Firewood is stacked at the beach to enjoy a camp fire in the evening.
During the peak summer season, paddle along Cherry Cove on one of the kayaks or stand up paddle boards. Sit out on the beach deck or at the end of the dock or around the fire pit at night.

Main house:
Large family room centers around the natural gas fireplace with a smart TV and internet service (no cable). Linens are provided with washer and dryer. Main bedroom has a King bed and private sun room over looking a crystal clear stream. 2nd bedroom has 2 Queen beds. The kitchen / dinning area is equipped with all essentials.
(built 1967 remodeled in the 80's)

Auxiliary apartment:
Located above the garage and separated by private entrance, OCCUPIED BY OWNER. It is our priority that the guests of the main house are given every respect of privacy and care.

Location:
Quiet peaceful cottage community. The road is nice for a walk or bike ride. The beach is across Lee Point Road . The property is 15 min to Traverse City and 5 min to Suttons Bay.

DO NOT LEAVE FIRE UNATTENDED! Never under estimate the wind and a little spark. Fire must be extinguished with buckets of water before leaving it.

Perfect family getaway

A hot tub and sauna for cold days, beach and dock play for warm days, kayaks and local hiking in any weather…a perfect family getaway. This place had everything we needed and more!

Girls getaway

Clean, comfortable cottage. Water views Switch If from the kitchen and living room areas. You would barely know that the road runs between the house and the beach. Very few cars. Host Aaron has thoughtfully provided extras that most VRBO’s do not. Firewood is provided, charcoal and lighter fluid for the brick grill by the beach and also a propane grill close to the house. Soaps, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. are all provided. I always wonder what kind of coffee maker I will find at a rental. Here there was a choice of a traditional Mr. coffee, a K cup machine, and even a French press. Both regular and decaf ground coffees, a variety of K cups and even tea were all provided. Plenty of towels are available for bath, beach and the hot tub. The bedrooms are separated with the hall and the bathroom between them. The hot tub is on the back of the house facing the woods, so quite private. I’m sure the area is quite a bit busier in summer, but as this was the first week of April, it felt private and secluded. The house backs up to Deep woods and there are trees and foliage between houses. The water in Grand Traverse Bay is absolutely stunning and crystal clear. There are several wineries just a few miles away. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great location and great property!

The property location was convenient to Traverse City, M22 scenic areas and local wineries. The host communication was perfect and everything was just as expected! The house was peaceful and made for a great weekend getaway! Thanks!

Wonderful Home on the Bay

The rental was spotless and well supplied. Large rooms. More kitchenware than I have at home. The area is quiet and so dark we could see the stars even thought it was cloudy. We found deer tracks on the beach. We all loved our stay and highly recommend this rental.

West Grand Traverse Bay is a very powerful body of water. South Lee Point Road holds an energy of welcoming comfort and calm peaceful serenity. The property is surrounded by mature forest of cedar and oak. The crystal clear stream flows year round spilling into the bay, providing a cool aliveness of fresh woodsy wilderness. The cottage is tucked back into the shade of the trees, while the white sandy beach rests in full sun all day.

What makes this property unique

The view from both the family room and kitchen are so amazing! As the trees are as much of the experience as the bay itself.
