We spent two fantastic weeks in this delightful villa which had everything we needed. The villa is situated a 10-15 minute drive from Mandelieu on a peaceful private domain and has wonderful views. It is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of the Côte d'Azur - we visited most of the main towns from St Tropez to Monaco and even went to San Remo in Italy. The villa is very well equipped and clean and there is a huge supermarket with various smaller shops nearby in Mandelieu. The owner, Isabelle, and her lovely dog, Filou, live in their home down some steps from the villa and although most of the time we didn't see them, Isabelle was always on hand if we needed anything. Isabelle was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. As she lives locally she has lots of hints and tips for places to visit in the area. Thank you, Isabelle, and Filou of course, for a wonderful holiday!
Myself and my 2 boys have just spent a fantastic 2 weeks in Mandelieu-La-Napoule and one of the highlights of the holiday has been this property.
It's a lovely, clean, well maintained house in a terrific location for visiting the many attractions of the Cote D'Azure. Fabulous outdoor space too, with a very welcoming good sized swimming pool for cooling off in.
Isabelle (and the super cute Filou the dog!) gave us a very friendly welcome on our arrival and was available to us for any help at all that we needed throughout our stay, nothing was a problem and we were made to feel extremely welcome at all times.
Having rented various properties in France over the years I have to say this house rates the highest in terms of cleanliness, facilities, layout and friendly welcome. A real home from home and I cannot recommend it enough. I'm certain we will be back again before long.
Just spent two delightful weeks at Isabelle’s villa. This is an extremely well appointed rental in super condition, situated in a small conurbation in the middle of the beautiful Massif de l’Esterel. We were two couples seeking peace and quiet in Provence, and we found it.
The spacious accommodation provided all the amenities we wanted, as well as the ability to be as close to each other or apart, as suited. Two recently renovated bathrooms are as pleasing to the eye as they are to use (actually, the pictures say it all – lovely).
As we had called Isabelle on leaving Nice airport by car, she was there to greet us on arrival at the villa. Throughout our stay her attention to any requests that we had were attended to immediately, while she otherwise maintained a very discreet presence.
Although with no intention of spending holiday time cooking up a storm, we found both the barbecue and the kitchen to be easy to use, and effective. While it would have been nice to be able to walk to a boulangerie, the trip by car to the hypermarché is quite short, and there, everything is on hand. An excellent location for choosing to head off in any direction, a car is a necessity here.
All in all, a most pleasurable stay–loved the pool. Hope we can repeat it soon.
This was a beautifully appointed villa and really worked for us. You definitely need a car as you are 22km from Frejus which has a great marina but also some interesting Roman ruins including an amphitheatre (don't go at lunchtime though its closed!)
Isabelle could not have been more helpful and was available if you needed her but never intrusive. Her dog Filou was a huge hit with our disabled daughter and the rest of the family and he came visiting and was most welcome.
There were plenty of cooking items and a large fridge/freezer so you can cook for yourself if you fancy a quiet night in and it was lovely and quiet. Bring lots of things for mosquitos. It was great that there was a washing machine and dryer available as it meant we went home without a boot load of washing and the pool was lovely with sun and shade throughout the day.
Our family of four stayed for a week in this lovely well maintained and clean villa. Nicely decorated rooms, kitchen equipped with all you may need. All stuff in good quality, looks like brand new. Great barbecue and more than decently sized swimming pool. All in all perfect place, blend it with great weather and you have a recipe for a fantastic vacations.
Nice, friendly, helpful and very responsive owner.
You may venture a lot and explore as many fabulous places are close. Cannes, Nice, St.Paul de Vence, Eze but be aware, in the high season another million tourists may have the same idea so expect crowd.
Located at an altitude of 200 meters and only 7 kms (7 min. max.) to the beaches of Mandelieu La Napoule, there’s the best of both worlds with the sea and the mountains minus the noise and commotion; the ultimate relaxing paradise. Golf: 'RIVIERA GOLF DE BARBOSSI':
The Riviera Golf course opened on 27 July 1991 and is known as one of the most beautiful courses on the French Riviera. It was acquired in March 2008 by the Barbossi Estate and has since been completely revamped. Nestling in beautiful green surroundings in the Cannes-Mandelieu bay, the course is a real oasis of tranquillity. The 18 hole course designed by the American architect Robert Trent Jones Sr is a real gem. Under the leadership of specialists, the golf course, practice area and Club House have been significantly renovated in keeping with the style of this extraordinary site. The course is undulating and technical, containing various difficult features that are adapted to players of all levels. For those who wish to take a well-deserved break between greens, the restaurant offers refined Mediterranean cuisine with a superb view over the Esterel Massif.
