Dear guests,
Welcome to my home. Unfortunately I won’t be here most of the times to see you in, but we can meet on Facetime or What’s up or Viber or …… you name it. Feel free to ask me anything you want about the house. If there is something that is not included and that it could be useful to others, please let me know.
And of course, you can call me any time, and I mean it, no matter what problem you may have. There are people around that can help if you need something. There is also George that takes care of the place for me when I am not around. I shall give you his phone number.
You are very welcome to stay here and relax like we do.
As you will see in the days to come this is a very easy going house for all seasons. Summer is always great, but the rest of the seasons here are equally astonishing.
Anyways enough said.
If you are reading this it means that you have successfully parked your car/s opposite to the entrance and checked yourself in. So now you are looking at the view in front of you.
This view does that to people. It’s happened before…..
So now you are in ground level. The kitchen and the living room are here. To your right is the kitchen. On the upper selves you will find plates, glasses, cups, trays, and on the self above the fridge you will find salt, pepper, canned tomatoes, pasta, mustard, tea, herbs, aluminum foil, wrap for your first days. There is also a toaster.
Under the sink there is oil, my olive grove’s production, sun oil, vinegar and balsamic vinegar to get you started. If you enjoy our oil that we produce in mountain Pelion, you could ask to buy some for home. I will send it before you leave. There is also great honey available from a local producer who is a friend.
Going to the veranda there is a piece of furniture that has 2 ducklings on it. The top left drawer has a table cloth and blue sup plat (placemats) for when you eat in.
To your left there is the ground level bathroom. Before going in to your right there is another piece of furniture that also belonged to my grandmother. In all drawers you will find everyday stuff for the kitchen and bathrooms. Garbage and toilet bags, sponges, toilet paper, paper napkins. And on the lower one there is the iron, the juice squeezer, the sawing kit, tappers etc.
Above this furniture is the electric board of the house. There you will see an orange switch that is for turning on the lower level garden lights, next to it there is a switch that gives power to the lower level bathroom, so always up. The next double switch is for hot water. Turn it on for 30 minutes and then turn it off. During the summer it will have enough hot water for 4-6 people for the day. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TURN IT OFF.
I am installing air conditions this October of 2017. Never needed it, still some people need it.
The living room is cosy, has two sofas that turn to double beds and a fire place that we use in the winter to BBQ fish or steaks as well. The four small tables that form a rectangular can be moved easily in order to open the sofa beds. The two IKEA tables with the marine decoration can very easily turn into 10 people dining tables. During the winter we usually do that.
Now you can go up to see the attic bedroom. My favorite. The view from the four 4 windows is breathtaking. The air that circulates in the room is always fresh and cool. There is a table that can be used for studying or even better for writing a book. The view is definitely inspiring. There is an armoire with linen and towels for you, and hangers. There is also a shoe furniture and a small TV set, and a fan.
Before going down take sit on the perfect table overlooking the Euboin Gulf. The view is like landing with a plane. In the morning there are times that you see dolphins, at nights you see the fishing boats like candles in the sea. You will be stuck here….
So now go down please to the lower level and see the master bedroom. As you can see it has a private door as well. The third key that you got is for this room. It has an en suite big bathroom, washing mashine, next to it toilet paper provisions. Under the sink there are detergent and softener and cleaning stuff. In the drawers there is a hair dryer and bags for the bin.
The washing machine is very easy to use. Just use the extension to the electricity power socket, on the heater just out of the bathroom, put the hose under the toilet seat. I could give you face time instructions live when you are going to use it. Next to the armoire there is a drying board, a vacuum cleaner, a broom.
In the armoire there are linen, towels, beach towels that you can use. Also there is a small ironing board. There is shoe furniture as well, a small tv set and a fan.
Now you can walk out to your private veranda, to your right my garden, to your left the BBQ and the traditional stove. Feel free to use them if you know how.
Next to the BBQ there is a perfect outdoors shower. You can leave soap and sponges there for as long as you stay in summer. Perfect water temperature. What we all need after the sea.
From here you can use the stairs to go to ground level again and to the third veranda. Excellent view, breeze from the mountain until 12 pm. Then the sun bathes this veranda and so you can get a tan even in the spring or autumn and winter sometimes. A big marble table for you to play cards or children to play family games. At nights you could eat there too.
As you now complete your 360 degree tour you can go to the garden and apart from the flowers and tomatoes and pepers and aubergines and zucchinis that my husband planted along with the beautiful ibiscus, you can also the water depository that we have in case water stops for some reason. It has happened in the past so now, no problem. The cord that you see that goes to the socket in the main veranda has to always be in there.
So no worries whatsoever.
I guarantee you a perfect stay.
