Beautiful mountain setting on local lake property! Beautiful lake views from every bedroom!! Amazing den features stone fireplace extending two floors high with gas logs and the lower gathering area includes a massive brick wood burning fireplace. Views of the lake can be enjoyed from many relaxing spots on this property. There is a upper deck off of the sunroom, a lower deck and patio for grilling out, a firepit for evening relaxation, hammock chairs on the front porch of the house and a hammock in the gazebo overlooking the lake views. For your evening relaxation there is a hot tub on the stone patio overlooking the lake as well. My favorite area which includes both a sitting area and lounge chairs is located on the boat dock facing towards a beautiful long range view of the lake. This property combines the feel of both a mountain house and lake house combined into one! This unique property was constructed in 1974 and includes very unique features of its time! This was one of the original homes on this area of the lake! The house is approximately 4,000 square feet and is three stories. The lake house is set up as four bedrooms and includes 3 baths. The house has 2 refrigerators in the main kitchen and includes one a the boat house for convenience while spending time on the water. There is a gas grill at the house that can be used by our guests while grilling out. The open ceilings and custom wood features make this the perfect vacation home. The house is strategically placed on the property to overlook the beautiful views of the lake from both the house and boat dock. The water off the end of the dock is deep and great for swimming. This area of the lake is very private and is great for boating, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Two kayaks and two paddle boards are available for my guests while staying at the house. With a backyard of limitless lake life this is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the beauties of Lake Hyco.

About Michael Lawson
I have spent almost 30 years of my life vacationing at Hyco Lake! I can remember the weekend that my parents bought our first lake home. From that point on we have created a lifetime of memories on Hyco Lake. I love being on the water wake boarding and skiing whenever possible. In 2009 I came across this property on Bear Run Lane and fell in love with the character that it offered. I knew before purchasing the home that it was going to be a huge remodel project but I took it on and now I am excited to share it with my guests! I hope that anyone that visits my home will create amazing Hyco Lake memories that will last for a lifetime!

Beautiful Home on Hyco Lake!
Let this be your lake house! The house has a cozy and warm feeling, but also has plenty of space for privacy. We found the furniture comfortable, and very well suited to the house. The lower level accommodations are really perfect the "the kids" with TV and foosball game, as well as a bathroom and walk out to outdoors. The hot tub was HUGE, we really enjoyed listening to music and relaxing there. We hope to return for future gatherings. Our host, Michael, was prompt and communicative, which is always appreciated. The steps down to the dock, and the dock have been well maintained, and well lit in the evening - but, the walk may give people with limited mobility difficulty. We enjoyed the paddle boards, and kayaks and fished off the dock until well into the night. Such a great weekend! Thank you again to our host! ~Rosemarie~
Owner is very hands on but not in your face:)!
Owner communicates extremely well. Lake was simply beautiful. The house was great for our group of nine including 3 small children. Owner made accessing the property very easy. Great decor. Plenty of clean towels in hall closet. Dishes were great, new dishwasher too. The location worked out great for us. We were even able to find some organic food at the Walmart. What a wonderful weekend.
Fantastic Home and Host
Beautiful property and would stay there again in the future.
Finding a house w/4 queen beds is hard to do. This was perfect! Celebrated our 40th anniversary with our kids and 2 granddaughters. Spent most of our time down at the lake and evenings by the campfire. Michael was very accommodating and kept in touch with us with very quick response. Spectacular views, lots of room, comfy beds, just a really beautiful lake house. Our family will all treasure our stay and hope to come back again. Thanks Michael!
Loved it all.
This place is truly amazing and peaceful. Micheal the owner is very attentive and so quick to respond to texts and phone calls. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this piece of heaven or the service it provides. Views are spectacular from inside the house. So much to do, fire pit, huge boat deck, hammock, grill for out door cooking, hot tub, spacious decks, plenty of house for the entire family. Very charming and welcoming. Owner provides high end tv's, and wifi for those of us that take work on vacation. Thank you so much Micheal for sharing your lake home.

Great family trip!
We visited a few weeks ago for a small family trip/Army Graduation (in Fort Lee, VA). The house was stunning, with a great layout for multiple families. Our group had ages 8-65 and all were well entertained. The kids took over the basement. Family members that couldn't handle stairs took the main level bedrooms, which was perfect. We enjoyed hanging out on all the decks and even grilled out one evening. The hot tub was wonderful and easy to maintain with Michael's instructions. The boathouse and lake toys were so nice to have. We didn't find time to rent a boat on this trip and really didn't need to. Fishing off the dock was really nice. Also, we used the kayaks and tubes (there are also paddle boards which we didn't use). The beds were super comfortable. My father-in-law even pulled back the sheets to get the mattress brand after the first night because he slept so well.
Food Lion is close enough to make a few trips for groceries, as well as many restaurants nearby. Our favorite restaurant was Tokyo Grill in Danville…great sushi, variety, and very accommodating with vegan options. A few of the days, we explored neighboring towns.
We had a great time at this beautiful property and will return when we visit this area again!
