Traditional cottage in historic trinity

Old world meets new deep in the heart of Trinity, Newfoundland. This beautifully refurbished home, rumoured to be over two hundred years old, maintains all of its character with original floorboards and antique windows, but has been updated with all the modern amenities you'll need to enjoy your stay. The house is adorned with Newfoundland relics, and the walls showcase a wide selection of notable art for your viewing pleasure, unless you become distracted by the scenic views framed by each window throughout the house. The main level features an open-concept living and dining room area with a spacious kitchen and bathroom on the same level. Upstairs features two sizeable bedrooms with plush queen beds, a half bath and a loft that includes a sitting area, writing desk and two cozy twin beds.

Not a good place
We really didn't like our stay in this house. Firstly, we were informed that there were earwigs and humidity bugs when we called from Clarenville. I had read in the comments that there were some, but I didn't realize how many. In one evening, we killed around 50. It was horrible, they were everywhere: on the counter, in the curtains, on the tables and all over the floor. Normally I would have expected around ten, but we were nowhere near that number. Secondly, the local person told us that all the houses in Trinity had this problem. However, we rented two other houses this week and we found no insects... There is a strong smell of damp in the house, especially under the kitchen sink; the smell was sometimes unbearable. Cleaning in some areas had not been done for a very long time, which meant that the house, in general, was very dirty. Finally, among the broken windows, there is one that is slightly offset, so it becomes sharp. It's not very safe. I would have liked to be informed in advance of the real condition of the premises, because I would not have rented it. We lost a lot of money and a day of travel finding another place to stay. It was a frustrating experience. I wrote to the owner after my trip, but i didn't have any return.

Beautiful historic house/cottage
A stunning view of Trinity from the comfort of the living room in this lovely and spacious cottage style home in Trinity. It felt like stepping into a family cottage handed down through the generations with bits and pieces from every decade for a hundred years. We loved the old cottage feel with the comforts of today (internet, wifi, heat and plumbing!) The location was perfect for our 24 hour stay. We appreciated the coffee, tea and sugar in the kitchen, the abundance of clean towels and soap in the bathroom and the spacious bedrooms. Thank you for providing a home away from home for one night in your beautiful, historic town.

Awesome stay!
Clean and cozy cottage feel. Enjoyable and comfortable. Some squeaky hinges could need some wd40 but everything was great. Able to use the bbq which was extremely nice!
