Experience charming, picturesque Bailey Island a Maine Casco Bay Coastal Island destination for vacationers from all over the world for over 100 years. Because Bailey Island is now connected to the mainland by the World's only existing Cribstone Bridge, it is no longer necessary to take a ferry to visit. 2013 built large 5 king bedroom Ocean House with incredible panoramic views in all directions with back of House located less than 50 feet from Merriconeag Sound on West Side and front of House less than 50 feet from Garrison Cove on East Side of Oceanfront House. Every room has incredible long distance oceanfront views. The view from the front of our property was recently listed in the 60 Year Anniversary Edition of Downeast Magazine as one of the best views in Maine. The House is surrounded by so much water and ocean scenery, you will feel like you are cruising on a boat. See beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the large windows and decks on East, West and North sides of the House. House is in the middle of Lobster Land. Garrison Cove is a working lobster harbor with several lobster boats moored and a working lobster dock in front of the House. Walk 200 yards to famous Cook's Lobster Restaurant and Lobster Pound and eat lobsters at the Restaurant or buy precooked lobsters at the Pound or live ones and cook them at the House. You won't taste fresher or better lobsters anywhere. The lobsters you eat are caught in the waters surrounding the House on the same day by the lobster boats moored directly in front of the House. If you have your own boat, we have a deep water mooring you can use located in Garrison Cove in front of our property. House has many amenities including 60 inch TV and Surround Sound System and gas log fireplace in living room, WIFI throughout house, and 32 inch TVs in all 5 Bedrooms, 3 of which have private decks. Central air conditioning, screen porch overlooking Sound, and decks on both side of house and huge raised sun deck on edge of Merriconeag Sound. The views around the House, especially Garrison Cove and the Cribstone Bridge, are some of the most photographed scenes on the Maine Coast and extend to Small Point to the East, High Head to the North, Harpswell Neck to the West and Cape Elizabeth to the Southwest. From the House, screen porch and decks, see seals swimming in the Sound, lobster men and women setting and pulling traps, and Casco Bay Lines ferry boats, kayaks, skiffs, sailboats, tuna, fishing and lobster boats cruising by just a stones throw from the shore of the property. Walk on the beach on the front of the House adjacent to Garrison Cove or the shoreline on the deepwater oceanfront side finding shells, crabs, mussels, snails, sea glass, driftwood and other ocean treasures.

Everything you could want in a coastal Maine home
The Flying Lobster House is absolutely beautiful and the location is stunning. Everything about the house is well thought out - the enclosed porch to have dinner at sunset, the well equipped kitchen, and every room in the house has a water view. Incredibly comfortable beds and furnishings and everything is well done. Truly feel like you're staying at someone's home that is cared for and not a rental. Amazing stay and look forward to our next trip to Bailey Island!
Views were absolutely stunning!
We recently stayed with a group of 10 women at the Flying Lobster House and had an excellent time! There was more than enough room for us to sleep comfortably and enough bathrooms to accommodate all 10 women! We had one minor issue with a toilet which was promptly taken care of by the owners. The locals were wonderful and we enjoyed fresh lobsters while gathered around the large dining table. Morse's was literally a hop, skip, and a jump away and the food there was wonderful! If we were to comment on anything to change in the house, it would be to fix kitchen drawers that were hard to open (most likely a common problem because of humidity in the region) and that the kitchen was overall not an efficient space for a group that enjoys cooking together. We would highly recommend this home to others. The views were incredible!!
Stunning water views and space for everyone
What an amazing property! Every side of the house has gorgeous views of the water, and each bedroom has a unique perspective. The location and layout were perfect for our family of 2 adults and 4 children ages 9-16. We could all be together while having a meal or working on a puzzle at the large kitchen table. It was also very easy to split up to do what each of us needed without feeling crowded: homework, relaxing by the water, kayaking, exploring, resting, whatever! We are looking forward to returning to this amazing place!
We had a wonderful time!

Would not change a thing except need much more time to spend there!
Thank you Maureen for your wonderful review. Glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. Hope you stay again. You were a pleasure to deal with.
Our family gathered at the Flying Lobster House for a week in August. It is a lovely home with spectacular views. The owners were very responsive to any questions or problems. Very nice space for everyone to get together. Only negative was so much traffic going in and out of Cook’s Lobster House on the weekend.
Glad you and your family enjoyed our property. The traffic was unusual the weekend you stayed because The 80th Annual Bailey Island Tuna and Fishing Tournament was held at Cooks Restaurant. It is one of the longest occurring tournaments in Maine. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
Panoramic postcard views of world's only Crib Stone Bridge, Will's Gut, Merriconeag Sound, several Casco Bay Islands, Orr's Island, Harpswell Neck, Little Mark Island monument, navigation aids, boating channels, working lobster and tuna boats, lobster boat harbor, lobster pound and Cook's Lobster House Restaurant from every window and deck on property. Short walk to world famous Cook's Lobster House Restaurant and Moby's Deck lounge, and Morse's Crib Stone Bridge Seafood Restaurant and bar.
