Perched on 135 feet of ocean frontage at the edge of the Atlantic, our Long Beach Island home brings South Beach chic to North Beach. Long Beach Island has been recognized by National Geographic Traveler Magazine as one of the top five family beaches in the United States.

North Beach is the perfect location on Long Beach Island. Located just north of Surf City, North Beach is 1.5 miles of exclusively residential properties and sparsely populated beaches. Yet it is very close to the amenities Surf City and Ship Bottom offer such as salons, restaurants, miniature golf, bakeries, butcher and liquor stores. If you need to make a quick run to Walmart, Costco, BJs or Shoprite, or your kids want to grab a movie at the local theater, it's a quick 20 minute drive across the Causeway. Compare that to Loveladies or Beach Haven where that same errand could take the better part of the day in the busy summer season.

An open floor plan and wrap around top floor decks offer views wherever you are. The house was designed with summer in mind, lots of windows to create cross ventilation to cool the house with summer breezes and to allow the sounds of the crashing waves to fill the interior. You will never experience a better night's sleep in the super comfortable Master king size bed. Or better yet, imagine opening all the windows and doors and falling asleep under the stars on a warm summer night.

Access the beach with your own private walkway and lounge about on what will seem like your own private beach. Or, if you prefer a lifeguarded area, stroll a couple of hundred feet up the beach. As soon as you open the sliding glass door, you will find yourself immersed in the sounds, smells and wild life typical synonymous with the Jersey shore.

The home features reverse living and is designed for lounging and entertaining. The upper level has an open living area with plenty of seating, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom with en-suite bath and laundry room. Add to this wrap around decks and the two areas blend into one flowing, relaxing space. Imagine yourself sleeping under the stars on the top deck with the waves crashing below you.

On the lower level is a separate mini kitchen/living room for the kids or guests to create their own private space complete with large screen television, books and games. Completing the lower level are three additional bedrooms and two full baths. A covered deck facing south provides escape from the sun and a totally different view of the beach.

The house contains a fully functioning kitchen with everything you need to easily prepare meals, three king size beds, one queen and one double sleeper sofa. Entertainment options include LCD televisions, Direct TV with its Genie system allowing you to record and playback from any room along with a premium soccer package, high speed internet WiFi and an e printer, tons of the latest best seller and classic books and an assortment of games. Everything you need to make your stay a wonderful memory.

Well behaved family pets will be considered as we know how hard it is to leave your pet behind when you are on vacation. Additional deposit may be required.

We have a seven night minimum for rentals.

Former pharmaceutical and hospitality executives, we are now serial entrepreneurs with a penchant for world travel, particularly to Africa and Asia. While we were honing our careers, we developed a love affair with real estate and spent many years building, renovating and buying properties in resort cities and islands. Most of our time is spent in South Beach but our hearts belong to North Beach. There is nothing we would like more than to share the home we love the most, perched right on the edge of the Atlantic, with you and your family.

Why Michael Walker chose Long Beach Island

Purchasing this home was quite serendipitous. One weekend after a particularly grueling month long workathon, we decided to take a break from ringing phones and constant interruptions to drive to the shore. As usual, our interests gravitated to the local real estate market. At the time, there were very few oceanfront homes on the market and we wondered what it would be like to live on the ocean. We saw a house with tiny sign in front, walked up the exterior stairs, took one look at the expansive ocean views, felt the wind in our hair, listened to the crashing waves and made an offer. And so it went ... we have loved being in this house ever since.

What makes this house unique

There is something about this house that makes you forget the world outside. Whether it is the sense of calm caused by the sound of crashing waves or the salty smell of the ocean that fills the air or the unexpected shifts of wind, this house provides a little oasis of serenity that lulls one's senses and allows you to leave the other more frantic parts of your life behind. You will never have a better night's sleep. And that is priceless.

Long Beach Island is a 17 mile barrier island which boasts some of the finest beaches in New Jersey. Easy access from New York City and Philadelphia makes this a mecca for families seeking to spend time on the famous Jersey Shore. Less than an hour away is Atlantic City where there is always a variety of activities from gambling in the casinos, participating in sumptuous buffets and attending concerts at many of the venues.

Great family vacation home

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach home. It was well equipped and left us wanting for nothing. The owner was very quick to respond to my questions and was very friendly and helpful in assuring we would have everything we needed. Huge bonus was allowing us to bring our precious furry family members (2 well-mannered rescue dogs). The beach was extremely clean and the waves were perfect for surfing and boogie boarding -- low tide was perfect for toddlers. All-in-all, LBI is a wonderful vacation spot that we plan to revisit next year! Thank you, Candy, for allowing us to use your beautiful home. :)

Light, bright, roomy, beach house

This house is better than the photos. The deck wraps around from east facing to south facing and even west for sunsets.

There are two living spaces so that if folks want to disperse they can comfortably do so. The kitchen is very well equipped which is key because the food choices on LBI were not as good as cooking fresh lobster and clams at home. There are stacks and stacks of books to read on the ocean front deck. It's pretty perfect!

Ladies who want to blow dry their hair in front of the mirror will have to make some modifications because the outlets in the bathrooms don't work. But they work everywhere else.

I loved this home. It felt very homey and comfortable and perfect.

One of my best family vacations ever. Very restful, loved the ocean front location. Great house for families. Plenty of room for all, yet had the master suite for me. Plan on making this an annual vacation.

Great Beach House

My BF and I love this house. Right on the beach, easy access for long beach walks. Lots of marine life viewing from the deck. Love the dolphins playing up and down the coast all day long. Very private. Perfect getaway.

Amazing Holiday with Family and Friends

Great oceanfront house on a wonderful beach. Loved the wraparound decks and easy living. House equipped with everything anyone could need. Cool breezes all day long, short walk across the dune to swim, and great food from Oakie's! Simple to book, perfectly clean on arrival as promised. All in all a perfect experience. Looking forward to next year.
