Large Craftsman Style Studio Set Against The Magnificent Swan Mountains.
About Lisa Gilbert
Originally from Southern California, we moved to this 20 acre property to create a quiet self sufficient and sustainable life for our small family. We are raising goats, chickens, livestock guardian dogs, and organic fruits and veggies.
Lisa Gilbert purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2011
Why Lisa Gilbert chose Bigfork
This property is incredibly special and uniquely showcases the majestic qualities of each season. We love the variety of wildlife traversing the land, including deer, elk, moose, foxes, bobcat, raccoon, squirrels, bald eagles, ducks, geese, hawks, herons, owls and many other birds, most notably the wild swan. White Tail Deer tend to be the most common but are the most lovely and peaceful sighting. Occasionally, bear, wolf, and mountain lion are seen but our big guardian dogs keep these larger predators off our property.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
We fell in love with this beautiful private property, the wilderness setting, and its unique craftsman style structures, and you will too!

Extremely great experience. Home was a treasure and a perfect jumping off point for our Glacier Park adventures. Killer views with some hiking behind the house.
Loved our stay!!
We took our 2 kids and loved staying at the treehouse. Great experience and we will definitely be back.
My younger sister and I try to plan a vacation away just the two of us each year. This was the perfect spot for us to relax, do our own cooking and grilling while enjoying the scenery. It was also a great jumping point to explore the area.
We spent most of our time in Glacier Park, including the east side of the park and places like Polebridge. The park is massive and it took some time driving, but was amazing. We were also able to enjoy the area around Kalispell, Flathead Lake and downtown Big Fork. Very quaint with decent restaurant options.
Lisa and Monica are great hosts - we enjoyed the fresh eggs and hearing/seeing their small farm animals in the distance. Lisa was also very available with the couple of questions we had during our stay.
Highly recommend - just be prepared for the ultimate privacy and relaxation in a tucked away location.
Relaxation at it’s best
A great little hide away to disconnect and relax.
