About this property

Fully Equipped Modern Apartment With A Balcony, Terrace and Garden

After a temporary closure due to coronavirus, we are delighted to confirm that our apartment has reopened and we look forward to welcoming you back! We're now using the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) standards to clean and disinfect our property. We will make sure your stay with us is not only relaxing, but as safe as possible. You'll feel right at home when you step into this very modern and spotlessly clean home, ideally located to explore Lake Bled and Slovenia.

The apartment and the whole property were completely renovated recently and furnished with new, modern and very functional furniture. The apartment is very comfortable with more amenities than you could possibly need. It occupies the whole ground floor of a beautiful and completely renovated alpine house and has a surface of 55 square meters + a balcony, a terrace and a large garden. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4+1 persons and consists of 2 bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen with a dining area, a modern bathroom, a living area with a comfortable sofa, a balcony with garden furniture and a terrace with a large garden.

We have always taken great pride in delivering the highest standards in cleanliness and hygiene and we are very proud of our PERFECT 5.0 cleanliness score. But cleanliness is even more critical during this time. We're now using the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) standards to clean and disinfect our property. These are the measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our guests:
– We make the apartment unavailable for at least one day between guests and all the windows are open the whole day to let in the fresh air.
– All frequently touched surfaces such as light switches, door handles, cabinet handles, electric sockets, faucets, sinks and tables will be disinfected before you check in.
– Remote controls for TV and A/C will also be disinfected and placed in a sealed plastic bag ready for your use.
– All kitchen cloths provided will be brand new.
– All crockery, cutlery and cookware will be fully checked for cleanliness and re-washed if necessary.
– As standard, the bathroom will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected but particular attention will be taken to areas such as toilet seats.
– Vacuum cleaner bags will be changed after each clean.
– All keys will be sanitised before every arrival.
– All part-used toilet roll and kitchen roll will be removed after every holiday departure.
– Bed throws, spare blankets and decorative soft furnishings will be removed from the apartment.
– We'll not enter the apartment unless requested during your stay.
– The apartment has its own private entrance and guests are able to check in and check out without any person-to-person contact.

Beautifully furnished and equipped with your comfort in mind and all of the facilities and mod-cons you would expect, the apartment offers much more than the average holiday home, it's a real home from home. It occupies the whole ground floor of a recently completely renovated alpine house located in a truly peaceful and quiet area in the green Zavrsnica valley in the heart of the Gorenjska region of Slovenia, only 6 km from the famous Lake Bled and a 30 minute drive from the Ljubljana International Airport. It's the perfect place to stay while visiting the Lake Bled area of Slovenia or the Triglav National Park or Slovenian Alps! It's away from the noise and crowds, but at the same time close to everything. It's a great base to explore Slovenia as all the main natural sights in the region like Lake Bled, Vintgar Gorge, Triglav National Park, Lake Bohinj, Waterfall Savica, Waterfall Pericnik, Lake Jasna, Zelenci Nature Reserve are only 10 to 45 minutes drive away. The apartment is also close (a 6-minute drive) to the main A2 motorway that connects the Karawanken Tunnel (at the Austrian border) to Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.

The second bedroom contains two single beds (90 x 200 cm) with high quality memory foam mattresses and 100% cotton linens, a nightstand with two lamps, a flat screen TV with more than 130 digital channels, a small working desk, two armchairs, and a fitted closet with ample storage for clothing.

Kitchen & dining area
The kitchen is modern and extremely well-equipped with a ceramic glass electric cooktop with 4 hot plates, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with a freezer compartment, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, etc.). Here you’ll find everything you need for your food preparation whether cooking a meal from scratch or heating something in the microwave. Next to the kitchen is a dining area with a wooden table and 5 chairs

Bathroom
The bathroom is modern and comes complete with a glass shower stall, a washbasin with mirror cabinet, a vanity mirror, a toilet and a washing machine. Complimentary toiletries, a hairdryer, hand and shower towels are provided.

Living area
The living area is light and bright with a comfortable sofa that also converts to a bed with dimensions 120 x 200 cm), an armchair, a coffee table, a flat screen TV with more than 130 digital channels (including several very popular international channels in English and German language). There's also a quiet split-type inverter (heating-cooling) air conditioner and a doorway to the terrace.

Balcony
Although the apartment is on the ground floor, it has a nice balcony with garden furniture. The balcony is 8 square meters large. It's facing west and has nice views of the garden and the green surroundings.

Terrace
The terrace is 12 square meters large. It's facing east and is surrounded by a large garden and an orchard.

Very well appointed
We were lucky enough to stay at this gorgeous little place for a week during winter. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood, super close to the main motorway which will easily get you anywhere. The place was clean, well appointed and super cosy even on freezing days thanks to the infloor heating. There is a lovely view of cliffs and wilderness from the back of the apartment. The host is very kind and considerate. We loved it so much we are hoping we can return sometime soon with our kids. Thank you for everything!

A Real Gem
Lovely, well maintained apartment. Beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Great access to many wonderful activities and historical towns for which Katja provides detailed info. A real gem to go to.

Schöner Urlaub in traumhafter Kulisse
Wir haben die Wohnung für 10 Tage mit zwei Kindern (6 Jahre und 2 Jahre gebucht). Wir hatten ausreichend große Räume, liebevoll eingerichtet und alles sehr sauber. Selbst die Bettwäsche hat geduftet. An allen Fenstern (außer Küche) befinden sich Rollos. Zudem verfügt die Wohnung über einen eigenen Zugang, eine Terrasse mit Garten und einem "Balkon" wobei dieser ebenerdig ist. Wir haben ausschließlich die Terrasse genutzt. Ein Grill steht zur Verfügung. Für die Kinder war das Highlight, dass auf der Koppel nebenan Esel leben, die man mit einem langen Arm füttern konnte. Die Gastgeberin, Katja ist super freundlich und antwortet binnen kürze auf Emails. Es gibt noch eine Wohnung darüber, welche ebenfalls vermietet wird. Für Lärmgeplagte Personen(insbesondere wenn man kein Kinderlärm oder deren Lauf und Spielgeräusche mag) sollten ggf von der wohnung im EG absehen, denn man hört diese durch die Decke. Uns hat dies überhaupt nicht gestört (wir waren auch viel unterwegs). Zu unserer Zeit gab es zwei Wechsel in der Wohnung über uns und mit beiden Urlaubern war es eine gute Nachbarschaft. Die Landschaft ringsherum ist toll. Einige kleinere Hotspots lassen sich direkt erlaufen, ansonsten benötigt man das Auto. Die Gastgeber haben aber ganz liebevoll eine riesen Mappe an Infos zusammengestellt.

Tolle Unterkunft
Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, auch der Außenbereich ist top. Es gibt 2 Terrassen, auf denen man das Essen genießen kann. Die Gegend ist ruhig und trotzdem ist man schnell an beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten.
