Comfortable and cute
We rented both levels to stay in while in town for a family wedding. It was clean, convenient, and had more than enough amenities. Jen was excellent with communication. Would stay again.
Felt like home
We had a very large group. Everything was nice and clean. Had plenty of room for our group. Made our stay enjoyable.
Lots of space
We had both units for our family and it worked great for the 8 of us. There are steep stairs to get to the upstairs unit so keep that in mind but if that’s not an issue, this is a super cute place to stay
Had all the space we needed, liked the diy projects around the house, had everything we needed, clean and neat. Just a few odd things such as layout of the bottom level, no single beds downstairs, and the staircase location.
Pleasant place to stay near St. Louis
We enjoyed our week-long stay at this charming property. We rented both the top and the bottom apartments, which was plenty of space for eight people. Our thanks to Jen, the owner, who was very pleasant and helpful. The house is over a hundred years old and very solid. The layout inside on the first floor was a little odd, which made a big circle. To get from the living room to the kitchen, you must walk through a bedroom (and possibly the bathroom). Since either bedroom accessed the kitchen, we did not find ourselves having to disturb anyone while they slept, so the layout worked fine, it was just odd. Upstairs, the layout was more traditional, with a hallway connecting all the rooms.
The house was nicely appointed. The owners supplied plenty of paper products, linens, towels, soaps, coffee, tea, and more. We had all we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful art glass pieces and photos of Paris throughout the house. An interesting note if you plan to rent just one of the apartments--the upstairs has the washer/dryer, while the downstairs has the dishwasher.
The town of Pacific has seen some hard times, but I got the sense that it is really turning around and re-creating itself. The downtown is rebuilding and stores are coming back. I felt safe walking around the town and happy that my rental dollars were helping to bring some money into this area.
The nearest grocery store is a Walmart, just six miles away. Also nearby is the Six Flags amusement park. We made day trips to Meramec Caverns and downtown St. Louis, and while traffic was heavy in St. Louis during rush hour, the drives were fine.
We were very satisfied with our stay here and happily recommend it to others.
