After a week in this house, you will never want to go back to reality - but at least when you go back you will be refreshed and come away with incredible memories! This spacious Cape Cod cottage is located on a quiet street in a lovely neighborhood in Orleans, Massachusetts, less than 5 minutes away from every possible activity you could ask for - the beach, the bay, ponds, restaurants, shopping and so much more! This 5 bedroom home can comfortably accommodate 12 people and is completely equipped for a summer vacation, with beach chairs, boogie boards, toys, umbrellas, as well as all the amenities of a home for cooking meals, bbqing, lobster bakes and entertaining inside and out. One of the best features of the house is the outdoor areas - you are guaranteed to enjoy the beautiful yard and inviting back deck. There is a screened in porch, as well as a newly added shaded seating area in the backyard.

The location absolutely can't be beat, it sits on a quiet and quaint road, but is so close to everything. It's a 5 minute drive to one of the best beaches in the country, Nauset Beach, and it's just a 5 minute drive to Cape Cod bay with it's own beaches and harbor. It's an easy 5 minute walk or bike ride to a small boat landing looking out to Orleans Town Cove. This area is really fun for looking for shells and letting children explore. The house has an open floor plan with a large family room adjacent to the kitchen and a front sitting room. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a king bed and it's own bathroom. There is another bedroom on the first floor with an adjacent bathroom. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Upstairs: One bedroom has a queen bed, another bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a trundle bed & a twin (sleeps 3 kids). The upstairs is perfect for small children! And don't forget to enjoy the outdoor shower - you can't have a true Cape vacation without it. The outside of the house is just as comfortable as the inside - with 2 seating areas and a large yard in the front and back. And this home is a gardener's dream - with over 25 rose and hydrangea bushes, you will feel like you're in heaven.

Comforts of Home

Our family of 5 had a marvelous visit to Cape Cod the week before Memorial Day Weekend. The house was well appointed, kitchen full of usable options for dining and entertaining. (I cleaned out some of the kitchen drawers that had crud amongst the utensils). The amount of space for hanging, playing, and yes, even working from "home", was perfect. I have bookmarked this vacation home as a Favorite and hope to stay here again.

Home away from Home! Great Property-

We had a wedding in the area so we wanted to be close but also make it a vacation. This is a great house and wonderful hosts. The gardens are right out of a story book! Plenty of bedrooms and baths and we could walk to the water. Our favorite part was getting the 2 under 2 to bed and relaxing on the porch! I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation on the Cape.

GREAT HOUSE!!

I don't know where to begin on how great this house is, from the location (close to beach, shops, dinner, everything) to the spectacular flower beds and just the sheer size of this house. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a lovely note from the owners. There were 2 beautiful bouquets of flowers from the grounds as well. No need to leave the house for the hydrangea festival, they surround the house.....and a dozen different varieties. The house is well appointed with literally everything you need-toys, games, beach chairs etc and an added surprise, sheets and bath towels. No need to haul those from your own home. It comfortably fit our 2 families of 4 and 4 of those are very large teenage boys. We particularly loved the screened in porch, the pics don't do it justice, we literally never left it. The daybed is an awesome addition. One of the reasons we also rented this house was the proximity to a boat launch that is 0.3 miles from the house so it was easy to transport the kayaks using a hand held trailer. This is definitely a house we would rent again, even if our boys don't come with us!!

Lovely home great location

A great family vacation spot in a comfortable home that sleeps many and is located nicely close to Nauset beach and Skaket beach and is not far from the town of Orleans and its bike trail entrance. Lots of included amenities in the shed like boogie boards, beach chairs, outdoor games etc. that made it extra fun for the kids. The screened porch is a great spot too!

Wonderful Cape Cod Vacation Home

Such a lovely home and a great spot for a family vacation in Orleans. The home is beautiful....plenty of room and filled with everything we needed for the week. The back yard is perfect for hanging out...the new screened-in porch was a hit with everyone as it added more room to relax and even "sleep out"! The location worked well for us...convenient to Nauset and Skaket...bike ride or short car ride. Close drive to Welfleet, Chatham and easy drive to Orleans center. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a great Cape Cod vacation!

We had spent several summers vacationing on Cape Cod since 1980 with our small children, but in 1985 we decided we wanted to buy a home for our family to enjoy for our future. We have spent the last 30 years enjoying this amazing home. There is something absolutely magical about this home and the town of Orleans. It's a place to make memories with your family, relax and unwind and have an incredible time!

Why they chose this property

We bought this particular home because of the perfect location. At the time, we had young kids and knew we wanted to have a quiet road for them to ride their bikes and play with their friends in the front yard. We can bike to Nauset Beach and downtown Orleans yet we are far enough away from the summer tourists to be able to really relax.
