I'm the luckiest person to live and work here and am never going to get to the bottom of the list of things we want to do here. There's another pond to go in, more flagstone and all you lovely guests to meet from all over the world.
When we opened to guests four years ago I had no idea that it would be so enjoyable, it's a pleasure to be here and I hope it is for you.
Jill purchased this barn in 1988
We loved this area of England and spent 2 years looking for suitable land to buy, then spent ten years trying for planning permission and finally got it. We wanted to build in the true style of Kent and we hope you will approve of the results
Our farm stands within a truly delightful 43 acres of beautiful quiet contryside with georgous view. We have two lakes of 12 acres to stroll around and over the last ten years we have planted 12,000 native broadleaf trees with walk ways through.
This all creates the perfect place to just chill out or explore the delights of south east England

We stayed at Waters End Farm for two nights. The location is stunning, surrounded by countryside. The accommodation felt like a home from home, except better. It had lovely decor with everything you’d need for self-catering in the kitchen.
We were greeted with some delicious cake and scones, fresh bread, milk and butter from our fantastic hosts. The cakes were gone pretty rapidly.
The beds were really comfortable, under floor heating was cosy and the shower was great. The location is well away from any roads, so it felt quiet and peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you! We would visit again in a heartbeat and recommend this to anyone. It’s the perfect location for a walking holiday, or a relaxing getaway.
We stayed in Hop Pickers Cottage for 2 weeks and had an amazing holiday. The cottage was perfect - roomy, comfortable and well equipped to accommodate all our needs. The property is stunning; it's beautifully maintained in a most picturesque setting. It was lovely to wake each morning to the birds chirping and the sun shinning (on most days)! Jill, Maurice and their sons were most gracious hosts and responsive to all our needs and questions. They are skilled in providing 5 star hospitality! Waters End Farm was an excellent choice for us to use as a base to explore the beautiful countryside of Kent and Sussex. We highly recommend the self catering rentals on Waters End Farm if you plan to visit Kent; it will prove to be a delightful experience.
Luxury fireside experience In a rural setting wth necessities not far away. Cozy pub with fine chef down the country road and three Michelin starred restaurants in easy driving distance. Picture book gardens, castles and antiques in many surrounding venues including 1066 Hastings battle site and Canterbury Cathedral. Delightful on-premises hosts with with friendly, informative staff.
We have just returned from 6 nights at Hop Pickers Cottage. In a word -wonderful! We arrived to a very warm welcome from Jill - before devouring her lovely homemade cakes - and then began to explore their acres of land on offer.
Walks abound in this area, as well as beautiful villages and cosy country pubs. And to be able to return at the end of the day to the log burner, huge sofas and luxurious beds just topped it off. Will not hesitate to return, and will recommend to all our friends. A 5 star stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hop Pickers cottage. It more than lived up to expectations being very comfortably fitted out to a high standard. The cottage is actually nicer than it looks on the photo's. Despite this being a short visit, Jill had left us a homemade cake and other provisions which was lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage very warm, perfect for a winter break. The log fire really makes the living area and was all made up for us on arrival. We liked the layout of the house with ensuite bathrooms and sociable open plan living area.
The cottage feels off the beaten track and there are some lovely walks round the estate. It is only a short drive to the sea and there are lots of historic places and cosy pubs to visit. We had lunch at the Black Pig at Hawkhurst which was very good and nice friendly service.
Unlike some places which charge almost a full weeks rent for a short break, Jill's weekend pricing was extremely good value.
We look forward to visiting again soon.
