About this property

A Private Country Home on 15 Beautiful Acres just miles away from city life!

Located ten miles south of Gainesville on 15 acres. Upon entering the property through the private gated entry, you will travel a very short tree-lined lovely country driveway. The property has a large swimming pool and a lake (no swimming). Majestic oak trees are scattered around the property creating beauty and shade. Deer, wild turkeys, sandhill cranes, and other wildlife visit often. The night sky scattered with stars is a real treat as well as the outdoor fire pit during the colder months. As you can see from the treelined driveway, this is a beautiful spot in the middle of the beauty of nature.

The indoor space is filled with windows and views of the beauty of north-central Florida! The house is rustic and it isn't fancily decorated but it's very homey and comfortable.

There is free internet service and Wi-Fi is located on the desk in the kitchen but no password is necessary. We do not have TV reception...however, we do have a smart TV (not a big one) that can be hooked up to your laptop, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or any of your accounts.

Other things to note:
If there is a problem with mobility for any potential guests, this is not the place for you.
This home has 3 floors, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and many stairs, a Living Room, Dining Room, Sitting Room, a large kitchen with an electric stove, a stocked kitchen, a huge deck on the second floor, a screened-in patio, and washer and dryer on the first floor, swimming pool, barbecue and much much more.

There is a studio apartment that is occasionally rented out which is about 300 feet away from the main house. From time to time there may be guests (sleeps 3) but they do not have access to the pool, washer dryer, or any of the property that you would be renting at the time (except if you also rent the studio).

Micanopy the oldest city in Florida is less than a mile walk (or drive) and it's known for its 19th-century buildings offering visitors antiques, art, food, music, and hospitality under the shade of enormous oak trees.

Gainesville is the home of the University of Florida and it's a booming universal town with nightlife, good restaurants, live theatre, music venues, natural springs, beautiful parks, Paynes Prairie and a wide variety of wildlife.

Outstanding country getaway
Outstanding property and location, just outside of Gainesville but felt like miles out in the country. Peaceful and quiet, beautiful piece of land. Big house with room to spread out - clean and functional. Host made sure we were all set and had everything we needed for our large group. Highly recommended, would stay again, 5 stars out of 5!

Graduation
An amazing place! Off the beaten path but close to everything. We enjoyed our stay very much! We watched the gators, picked fruit and explored the property. Even though it rained most of the time we had an amazing stay!

Family celebration
Jeffrey’s property is beautiful! Close enough to be in the historic downtown in minutes but far enough removed to feel private. The house is older with some rough and rustic elements. Sound travels easily between walls and floors so if your group is loud, you’ll hear it throughout the home. The house is clean and spacious and stocked well with everyday items. We enjoyed the backyard fire pit and views of the lush old oaks and surrounding fields. The pool was in perfect condition and other outdoor furniture and grounds were great! Overall, it was a nice fit for our large family celebration.

Country Getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this spacious property in Miconopy. The home/property was just as described in the listing. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool and observed deer and turkeys on the property. We attended an event at UF so this was a close quiet option for us and a plus being pet friendly.
