Riders retreat is a two bedroom, one bath cabin located just steps away from the famous Pine Stump Junction in historical Pine Stump, Michigan. For all snowmobile and ATV enthusiasts, this cabin is in the heart of the eastern UP trail system. Local attractions include Taquahmanon Falls State Park, Oswald's Bear Ranch, Garlynn Zoo, Kitchitikipi (Big Springs), Grand Marais, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and Whitefish point (shipwreck museum) in beautiful Paradise, Mi.

The cabin is cozy and offers one queen bed in bedroom one. In bedroom two, it has one queen bed, one twin bed, and one futon that pulls out into a full size bed. In the living room, there are two full size pull out couches. It also features a fully supplied kitchen. There are enough glassware, silverware, plates and bowls for six people. Pots and pans and cooking utensils are provided. This is a great little getaway for a family or a group of riders.

Just four doors north is the famous Pine Stump Junction cookshack. This is a nice restaurant that serves great food and has wonderful service as well as gas to fill up those toys.

Also within minutes from the front door, you will find snowmobile/ ATV trails that connect to the Eastern UP trail system. In the winter, these trails are groomed and maintained regularly and make for wonderful riding. In the summer, you will discover miles of Lake Superior’s shoreline good for kayaking, fishing, hiking, rockhounding and relaxing. In the fall, the color tours are breathtaking and you will be awed by mother nature’s beauty. There is something for all seasons.

Perfect house in a great snowmobile area
First, I must say that this was an extremely low snow season for snowmobiling, and we only went one day. But we didn't expect we'd be able to go at all, so we were happy for the one day. This place is in a great location, just a few doors down from Pine Stop Junction, and we walked there every day. It is in the middle of a great area and you can travel in all directions to find great destinations that are friendly to snowmobilers. The house is well suited for that purpose, and we could park both truck and trailer in front of the house. It was very clean and well-stocked, and Travis was helpful and thorough in his communications. We visited by truck most of the areas surrounding the house, and we hope to do it another time by snowmobile. I'm sure this place would be great as a stomping ground in the summer as well.

Anniversary trip
While staying in the UP, we found this cute little house that was a great location based on the activities we had planned. Travis was extremely nice and helpful and called us the day before arrival. He answered any questions we had, and let us know about any must do activities for the area. He also said to reach out if we had any questions or needed help with anything. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths which is usually a problem when we stay at a house. There was also plenty of toilet paper. The house was clean. They have menus for two local restaurants, both have really good food. These things make a big difference when you’re staying somewhere. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here. Highly recommend!

Great Place to Stay & Nice Owners
Great place to stay and a convenient location for us. The owners are very nice and responsive. I only took one star off for cleanliness because, there was a little mouse in the cabin. Owner had traps set up & We could tell they were doing the best they could to try and keep them out. Otherwise, the cabin was very clean and the beds were comfy. 😊

Awesome retreat from everyday chaos!
We loved our stay here! House was immaculately clean on a nice large piece of property, away from the busy-ness of even the "city" life of Newberry. Firepit with some starter wood, charcoal grill with charcoal, even a cooler available if we needed it! Lots of space inside...garage was set up as an extra hang out space too. Dish TV available if you need some screen time later, but limited cell signal kept my teenager engaged with our family! Travis had wonderful tips on things to do and see in the area. We packed the days with fun and slept great in the comfortable beds each night. Oh, and great hot water pressure in the shower! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
