About this property

Yosemite Estate: Pool, Hot tub, Outdoor Fireplace, Tennis and Basketball court

THE TRABUCCO HOUSE:
Amazingly preserved and well maintained, this home was built in 1932 in the Spanish Colonial style (Santa Barbara style). This beautiful, secluded home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
With unique and ample features to which no other Yosemite area home can compare, this property features a Mexican tile lined swimming pool, basketball and volleyball court, private balcony, courtyards, outdoor kitchen and living areas, two ponds, Spanish style water fountain, spectacular lush gardens, outdoor fireplace, and spacious patios. All of this tucked in the heart of Mariposa…within walking distance to shops and activities.
LIVING, DINING AND KITCHEN AREAS:
Much of the home features original beautiful oak floors; oak beamed ceilings grace the living room with original hand painted flowers. The living room showcases a wood-burning fireplace with the original 1932 copper screen. The light fixtures in the entry and leading up the staircase are hand forged scenes from the past.
The dining room seats 8 comfortably and closes off completely for privacy with the original French doors.
With kitchen renovation in 2009, the authenticity of the 1932 era was maintained while providing a very modern, custom kitchen. The kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, warming drawer, farm sink, prep sink, pot filler, gas Wolf stove top, and Sub-Zero refrigerator.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS:
Two spacious bedrooms are located down stairs and share a bathroom while two identical bedrooms are upstairs and also share a bathroom. The two upstairs bedrooms have doors opening onto a patio that overlooks the pool area and is equipped with rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. The bedrooms are each beautifully and uniquely decorated.
The bathrooms have the original ceramic tile that was popular in 1932; one with yellow and black and the other with art deco styled pink, green and black. Very fun! Both are full baths with the upstairs having a large separate soaking tub.
GROUNDS:
Surrounded by Palm, Deadora, Cedar, Pine, Olive, Plum, and Almond trees makes for a very private setting. The magnificent vegetation attracts numerous birds. During the “dog days of summer” you can escape the heat by cooling off in the private pool, sitting under the covered patio, or enjoying the natural shade provided by the canopy.
LOCATION:
2.5 hours from San Francisco area
1 hour from Fresno Airport
35 minutes from Yosemite National Park (Hwy 140 entrance)
50 minutes to Yosemite’s South entrance (Hwy 41, Glacier Point, Wawona, & Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias)
4 hours from Los Angeles
This magnificent home is conveniently located and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants, Music on the Green, theatre and entertainment. A wonderful rock staircase takes you down and drops you just a few steps from all the action!
Mariposa is home to many restaurants with fantastic food. A few favorites are Charles Street, Castillo’s Mexican, Savory’s, Sugar Pine Café, 1850, and High Country Health Food.
We also have a full grocery store, and a deli & market right down the street.
You will love the several shops that promote local artists, antiques, and other wares.
We hope you enjoy your stay and will gladly work with you to plan the perfect vacation to Yosemite.

Great for the family
We had an amazing stay at this property. It’s kind of ruined all other rentals for me! What other house has all these amenities for this price? My kids were in heaven and we even debated not hiking in Yosemite for a day so we could fully enjoy the property. The house feels like home but better lol. We loved how the owners kept some of the historical aspects of the interior while still modernizing for current day needs. There was an abundance of everything we needed as a family of seven. The location is 20 steps away from downtown Mariposa and close to the entrance of Yosemite 10/10!

Great property.
The home is exactly as advertised. Worked well for our family. Lots of amenities, in town but very quiet neighborhood. Family came by and were so impressed that on their next visit they will be booking!

Fantastic
This is an amazing property, in an amazing location. We had an amazing time as a family with our 2 boys under 12. From the tranquility and wildlife to the proximity of Yosemite, this one is tough to beat! And the hosts are second to none!
