Fisherman’s Cove, Siesta Key Gulf Front! Sandwiched between the Gulf of Mexico and Blind Pass Lagoon which leads to Sarasota Bay, you can enjoy sunning or fishing from the Gulf or Lagoon or kayaking and paddle boarding. Our Siesta Key location on the island’s south end features the best shelling on the island as well. The Gulf waters are only 150 feet from your beachfront lanai. Enjoy romantic sunsets from the comfort of your apartment’s private terrace or directly on the beach.

You can walk south along our beachfront and enjoy at least one mile of undeveloped property. Continue on if you wish for many miles of serenity to Casey Key.

Bring your boat or rent one for a day as the boat docks are free! Your boat trailer must be kept off property and the on-site office can provide a list of places in the area for storage.

Each unit features cable television, high speed internet, fully equipped kitchen, a heated community pool, a clubhouse with library, shuffleboard court, boat slips, kayak launching and assigned parking. NO Pets allowed. The on-site office staff is there to be of service.

Dine at several excellent restaurants within walking distance, or drive to Crescent Beach approximately 2.5 miles north where there is a grocery and other stores and restaurant options. The Siesta Key Village is approximately 7 miles distance on the island. Off island trips bring you to diverse neighborhoods and shopping and dining areas within a 15 to 30 minute drive.
Fisherman’s Cove, Siesta Key, is adjacent to Turtle Beach with picnic area, grills and boat ramp. You will drive through Turtle Beach Park to our gated community – leaving the traffic behind. Our south end of Siesta Key is known as the quieter end of the island and has a laid back feel. The action on the northern end is available via free trolley service or thru one of the free ride services that work for tips.

While you are here, you will want to visit Siesta Key Public Beach and put your toes in the world famous white sand which consists of 99% pure quartz, ultimately derived from the southern Appalachians. Over millennia, rivers carried the grains of sand into the Gulf of Mexico and south along Florida’s coast. Those quartz grains are fine, without any coral or shell fragments, which results in sand with a soft, flour-like texture.

Sarasota is known as the Cultural Center of Florida with many live theaters and art galleries. Definitely worth a visit is the Ringling Campus with the State Art Museum of Florida, the Circus Museum and Ca’ d’Zan Mansion on Sarasota Bay. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is another very special attraction in Sarasota for both adults and children.

6/10 Okay

Stacey B., Where do you live?

Clean unit and clean property.
Nice clean unit and property. We were on 3rd floor, but there was a gate and path to the beach right at the bottom of stairway. Wish there had been a shower closer to our unit. The ice maker did not work in this unit. This is something you really expect and use in a beach condo. Being on the third floor presented some problems storing all of our beach gear. We didn’t want to track sand through the condo to put stuff on patio,so we ended up storing everything in our car. This beach area is nice and clean, but not a walking beach if you are expecting to do that. It’s quite sloped. We did get to watch some baby sea turtles wander to the sea, so that was a great experience! There are lots of shells in the water here also.

Needs lots of updating
We liked the location of this unit, it was on the end of the complex. It is also on the 3rd floor, so we enjoyed the view from the balcony. We also booked because this unit has a washer/dryer which we used a lot. The living room furniture was nice and up to date. We liked that this unit had some beach toys, too. Our last rental at this complex had a code to enter the condo. This place uses old school keys on a wristband. Nobody on vacation wants to keep up with keys. A little lockbox or coded entry is not expensive & would greatly reduce having to take a keychain everywhere we go. The kitchen has been recently updated (as we read on the listing) but does not have a working ice maker in the freezer. We let the management know and they said “Yeah, that one doesn’t work”. We bought ice, but a beach condo should definitely have this! The bathrooms are old and outdated. This was a bummer. The showers have those frosted, sliding doors and tile that looks like it’s from the 70s. The anti-slip pads in them is just yuck. I can’t imagine that’s very sanitary. We were very underwhelmed with the bathrooms, big time. The master bedroom and bathroom’s door locks do not lock. The bedrooms are dated with beds and sheets that are not comfy. Again, spend a little more and at least get soft sheets. We will surely return to Fisherman’s Cove, but this unit is off of the list.

Excellent view of the gulf from the enclosed/screened porch!
A few minor issues...elevator did not work for the first day or 2; ice maker did not work, twin beds need improvement-squeaky; well equipped kitchen, comfortable living space; saw a turtle come up on the beach to lay her eggs one evening-wow!
