Cozy Cottage - Minutes from Attractions!

Welcome to The Tarwater House! This cozy little cottage was built in 1946 by my grandparents and totally remodeled in 2013. It boasts lots of character and amenities for your convenience. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. All of the bedrooms are equipped with smaller TV’s and DVD players. The Living room is equipped with a Smart HDTV and wireless internet is provided for your stay. All TV's have ROKU's and we have Spectrum Apps - please click on the Spectrum App to stream cable TV. If you would like to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. login to your account, but make sure to logout before your departure.
The kitchen is fully equipped - stainless steel appliances, all dishes, cookware, crockpot, etc., are provided. An outdoor charcoal grill is also provided for your use. We have a large field that you are welcome to use for croquet, volleyball, bean bag toss, horse shoes, etc. There is an outdoor firepit with Adirondack chairs and you are welcome to to enjoy the Wicker deck furniture as well! Adorable

This is our second time at Tarwater Cottage and we absolutely love it!! We stayed in the hottest part of summer last time and this was a nice, cool spot, even in the heat of the day. It has all the amenities you need. The entry is easy. The contact with the host is easy. It’s super clean and the beds are comfy. The porch is an amazing place to hangout in the morning and evening. There are birds, rabbits and squirrels to watch. The proximity to Sevierville is so nice but you’re not trapped in all the traffic just to get to it. There are plenty of TVs for the whole group. It’s so peaceful and after a long day of traveling around, it’s incredibly relaxing. HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful Cottage for an amazing visit to TN!

Our family of 5 just loved this little cottage. Beds for everyone and it had everything we could ever need. The owner was amazing to work with and even helped us manage a small issue that came up after check-in. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Grand Dollywood adventure

Nana, Papa and three Grands enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin. Everything was perfect for sleeping and breakfast making as we headed to full days at Dollywood! So relaxing to come home to our comfortable, well appointed cabin just a 15 minute no hassle drive to the Park! We will be back again in the fall. Thank you!!

Cozy Cottage!

We had a great weekend at the little cottage. It’s the sweetest little farmhouse and we all loved the layout. Comfortable beds, wonderful little kitchen and quiet area with easy accesses. We can’t wait to stay again! My girls loved their room with the twins beds!

The cutest Christmas

We had such a great time spending Christmas in this beautiful little cottage. It’s nicely maintained and decorated, I wasn’t expecting to arrive and have a Christmas tree already set up, it really set the tone to the start of our vacation. My kids loved the Christmas tree, wrap around porch & huge yard that we were able to make smores and memories in. I loved how the kitchen had all the tools I needed to prepare our meals & how all the attractions were so close to us! I highly recommend this home & will be coming back for future family trips

This cottage was built in 1946 by my Grandparents - Estle & Velma Tarwater. My grandmother's family lived in Elkmont & Tremont before The Great Smoky Mountain National Park was established. My mother and her sister grew up in this house. Although both have moved away from Sevierville they decided to keep the homeplace for the family - a home away from home. We hope you enjoy your stay!!

My brother, cousin and I spent two weeks every summer with our grandparents at this cute little cottage! We have wonderful memories here and hope you make memories for your family as well.
