Wonderful vacation cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from our Spring Break vacation and we couldn't be more thrilled about our stay here!! We really wanted something secluded to get away from the hustle and bustle of home and we found just that! This property is very quiet and secluded, perfect for a peaceful "reboot."

When we arrived it started to snow and about an inch and a half fell, which was extra special since our kids had never seen this much, being from Texas.

This cabin has plenty of space to accommodate a family together in one area but also enough separation for "quiet" time. Everything was very clean and homey.

The view from the balcony/living area was quite breathtaking. The lake is very beautiful and we can only imagine how great it would be in the summer months.

We will definitely stay here again!

Simply Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this cabin and we thought it was wonderful! It was exactly as pictured, very clean, and quite spacious. In fact, we didn't even need to use the bottom floor, but I imagine it would be the perfect size for a family or for two couples vacationing together. We spent most of our time on the dock - fishing, relaxing, and enjoying the incredible view. As the other reviews have noted, the hike to and from the dock is a work-out, and would probably be difficult for people with limited mobility, but we still made the trip many times. The back deck also has a spectacular view, and we really enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs with our morning coffee. I think we picked the perfect time of year to visit (early October). The leaves were just starting to change and the temperature was mild during the day, cool at night. The cabin is also close to some great attractions. We never had to drive more than 45 minutes to get to our destinations, and the nearby marina has a historic hiking trail. I am glad that we drove our truck, because the driveway entrance is very steep and would not work for vehicles with lower clearance. I would also recommend bringing some folding chairs for the dock. Overall, we loved it, and will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic View!!

  • 5 of 5

My family was a party of 6 that stayed here several nights this last May and we loved it! It had a really great deck and view of the lake and the private dock was extremely enjoyable for us as well! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation! The only downside I can say for it is it did not have any large pans for cooking, and we had to get creative for cooking breakfast and dinner for six people, but other than that we had no complaints!! Seriously the view alone and spending your evenings out on the deck are worth it! It was very affordable given that it was lakefront and they were very accommodating for pets.

Spectacular, Memorable, Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We have been going to Beaver Lake since 1983, but always as guests in our friends cabins. We knew this Fourth of July they would have plenty of other folks staying with them, so we booked this early; like in February. There were 6 adults and a child. The toddler was very busy and needed to be watched constantly, but the layout of the deck enabled us to block each side with the storage boxes they had there so he couldn't get out of our site, but still enable him to toddle all over the place. He was one happy little kid! And so were we. Thank you so very much to the Dunn family for building and nurturing a lovely home like this so complete strangers like us can come there and have what has become one of the most memorable trips down to Beaver that we've had. The view is spectacular and we probably spent equal amounts of time in the lake and on that deck drinking up the view. Everyone slept pretty well, once we figured out who should share what bed. The kitchen was superb and allowed us to cook at least 6 meals. Maybe more? The parking and drive to the cabin was pretty easy. Be warned though, you don't want to make the trip up and down to the dock too often. Be prepared; get everyone to haul something and take your time. The hike is moderately challenging, but not heart-attack invoking. The layout of the cabin allowed folks who needed to have some privacy or quiet, have their own time...and the rest could congregate out on the deck or around the kitchen. We LOVED loved Loved it! Might book it again for next year. Thank you again for allowing people like us to get together in one place and have the time of our life.

Beautiful View

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this cabin over Labor Day weekend. It was an absolutely great weekend. The cabin is in a remote, quiet and scenic area. It was very clean and well furnished. The huge deck made for some awesome views of the cove, especially in the early mornings watching the sun rise. Having access to the boat dock was great so we could swim and fish right there. The only negative (slight) I would mention is that the walk down to the lake was a little steeper than we expected and some what hard to do, but everything else made that an only minor thing. You just have to take your time and watch your step. We saw some deer every morning and again the view from the deck was breathtaking. We would definately stay here again. Thanks for letting us share your piece of paradise.
