Fantastic cabin with incredible hosts!
Beautifully crafted cabin on a well kept property in close proximity to Glacier National Park. Gary & Theresa are welcoming hosts and have the place fully stocked with anything you might need. History around the area is fantastic (Essex) and loved being fully disconnected. We plan on going back this Summer!
Glacier Park Cabin
What a gorgeous, cozy place to stay! My friends and I spent several days here in early September, and we'd come back in a heartbeat. This is a great jumping off point for adventures in Two Medicine and, a little further away, East Glacier (West Glacier is closest, though most of this area was closed when we were there due to the Howe Ridge Fire). The cabin is easy to find, clean, spacious, and has beautiful mountain views. Theresa and Gary are gracious hosts who go out of their way to communicate with guests in advance and then make each visitor's stay feel welcoming and comfortable. I look forward to coming back one day!
We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our GNP vacation! The owners, the house, the property.... all excellent! We hiked in GNP, went white water rafting, horseback riding, kayaked in Lake Macdonald, drove up to Polebridege and Bowman Lake, did a fly fishing excursion, saw Izaac Walton Inn (so cool to watch the trains go by!), Paola creek, and many other unplanned, spontaneous activities and sight seeing. It was a longer drive to go around the park to Many Glacier ( about an hour and 45 min) but the drive was beauitiful in an entirely different way and we definitely preferred having that one day with a longer drive rather than packing up and staying on the other side of the park! We will definitely recommend this home to our family and friends!
Beautiful Cabin for Family Trip to Glacier
Our family traveled to Glacier and this cabin was the perfect place to begin our daily 15 minute drive to West Glacier. The owners, Theresa and Gary, are kind hosts who provided all the amenities. The cabin is immaculate and very comfortable. No wi-fi so be prepared to leave your cell phone off. We enjoyed that reprieve from technology. The only drawback was the occasional train which passes through, however we barely noticed it after a while and earplugs took care of the noise at night. If you want real Montana hospitality, this is the place for you.
Our family had a wonderful time at Glacier-National-Park and loved staying in this beautiful cabin. It is exceptionally clean, well stocked, and decorated beautifully. The owner is onsite and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. The location is about 30 minutes from the West entrance to the park. It was well worth the drive to stay in this cabin. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer.
Glacier National Park Visit
This location was great for exploring both sides of GNP, about 90 minutes to Many Glacier (east) and about 2 hours to Bowman Lake (west). The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed and more. Gary (owner) checked with us each day to ask how our day was, what we did, and if we needed anything. The welcome basket and fresh flowers were a great extra touch, and the hospitality was five star. There is a train which is pretty loud if you're out on the patio, but barely heard when inside the cabin. If we return to the area we would definitely stay here.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Come back and visit anytime..
