About Alan Kremer

We're an active family of 5 that loves travel, exploration and the outdoors. We make our home in the Twin Cities, but love the shores of Lake Superior and getting 'up north'.

Alan Kremer purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Alan Kremer chose Iron River

There's something special about being in the woods. We found this property in the early Spring of 2013 after the last big snow and just couldn't escape the appeal of the absolute peace and quiet.

We were hooked from beginning and knew that this would be the perfect year round get-away.

Wonderful cabin in the middle of the woods

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed this cabin. It is very immaculate and comfortable. The main part is air conditioned and also has a gas heater stove.

We spent a lot of time in the 4 seasons room that is actually a separate building across the deck. We opened up the windows and used the ceiling fan while eating our meals and playing games out there while listening to their stereo.

There is a nice fire ring with plenty of firewood to relax when you build a fire. If you are into 4 wheelers or snowmobiles, there are plenty of trails. We enjoyed ruck marching around the roads.

Even though you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, you have plenty of activities to choose from. We kayaked down the Brule River. We drove to Bayfield to enjoy the Apostle Islands. Duluth is fairly close too!

The owners provide plenty of instructions and label the lights, appliances, and everything you need to open and close the cabin.

Comfort and quiet in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a quiet cabin for a few days of snowmobiling and this was the perfect place. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. Owners were very quick to respond to any question we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Even better than described.

  • 5 of 5

We come up to ride ATVs and trail was at the driveway. Very private and easy access. I had read another review about how nice the bedding was and it certainly is the best of anywhere we have stayed! House was perfect size and the observation room was really nice. Great place to listen to the wind in the trees and hold a good book. We loved the gas fireplace. Puts out great heat n again, just made the room after a long day on the trail.

We ate dinner at The Spot one night-great food at decent prices. Owners very friendly and spent time chatting with us. Made it to the Pizza Parlor and again, food was great and owner chatted w us a long time. And a must is the Delta Diner! Our second visit there. Recommend you sit at the counter. Fun, entertaining and some terrific food!

Leaf color was peak, weather warm and trails were uncrowded during the week.

We come to Wisconsin every fall w our ATV and hope to return next year. If we do, you can bet we will return to this cabin! Just the best! Owners great to work with. Quick response.

We are seniors and this cabin was perfect for us.
