An Amazing Mini Break in the Bay Area
We were looking for a quiet place to relax by the ocean and Sigward's place fit the bill perfectly! Our fantastic experience began prior to arrival when speaking with Sigward who is lovely and very clear on what to expect and how to make the most of your stay. I enjoyed many hours reading on the deck in front of the ocean and later sitting inside in front of the fireplace. We look forward to returning!
Tip. The local market, Good Earth is very nice with a great selection. It is also completely organic and expensive. Nearby Walgreens has a limited pantry selection so if you are driving and planning to cook grab your basics elsewhere. Loved not having a TV, though also wished we would have brought a deck of cards or a game with us, which we grabbed on Day 2. Excellent way to spend an evening in front of the fire relaxing listening to the waves.
Ocean, ocean, ocean
Such a beautiful view and the sound of the waves was just what we needed. I wish there had been more cookware and utensils. We never left the place except to walk on the beach and a little hiking, so I cooked all our meals. I would highly recommend this place for the quiet and the sense of peace. It truly is a retreat.
Relaxing, beautiful location!
It is exactly what the pictures say it is. Breathtaking views, listening to the ocean. On weekends the children laughing as they run through the water. Bring everything you need because you will not want to leave. I love this place. I highly recommend it. In fact I’m booking it again right now I slept with the door open, a couple mosquitoes but otherwise magic listening to the waves. There’s just enough dishes for two people. If you have a special pillow bring it. They have mosquito repellent a blow dryer, and iron. Narrow road leading up to the house. We brought a small car so it wasn’t a problem. The access to the beach is steep but doable. If you can’t manage the slope you can always walk down to the Muir Beach parking lot to access the beach easier. I did not use the hot tub. Highly recommend this place 💗
Heaven on Earth
Look at the photos...it’s even better in person.
Truly spectacular location
A simple but well-appointed beach house with the best view on the beach, either from the chaise lounges on the generous balcony or from the secluded jacuzzi. We planned on exploring the area more, but never wanted to leave! Comfortable and tasteful, great for a romantic getaway for two.
Amazing escape in an amazing beach bungalow
What a gem! Had such an amazing getaway with my best friend! Memories of walks on the beach, people and animal watching (we saw lots of marine animals!) from the patio loungers, and hot tub happy hours!
I would recommend bringing binoculars!
We would love to come back ASAP!!!
