40th Wedding anniversary
Overall, nice place to stay. Just a few downfalls. The coffee pot needs to go in the trash. First off, the basket does not fit into the machine. It is from a different set up, therefore we did not get our morning coffee as it would not brew and drip into the glass pot. Second no hot water upstairs, had to take showers downstairs if we wanted hot water. Finally, I think is the worst problem is that there were numerous big bugs in the upstairs bathroom and both guest rooms that we used. They were on the ceiling, night stand, walls and my husband had one climb across his glasses. We had kept all windows/doors shut, so unclear where they came from. Overall our stay was good, just need to fix those couple items.

Nice historic house, not a ton extra comforts.
The house was really nice, super secluded but still very close to town. Modern comforts like A/C units in each room, BIG tv, hot tub. However, this house didn't have as many as the comfort items that are typical with rental properties. Only 4 towels and washcloths split between the two bathrooms. No extra sheets anywhere, no vacuum, no extras like aluminium foil in the kitchen, or dishcloths. They did have a few extra blankets which were nice. But very bare bones in terms of communal extra stuff. We had two minor mechanical issues, which the host was very helpful and prompt. They had maintenance guys out quickly and got us fixed up. We really enjoyed our stay here. It's wide open fields around the house except for one neighbor right next door. The fire pit wasn't really usable because the grass was cut, but went right up to it. It was very dry and we were afraid we'd set the whole field on fire. Also, no firewood or outdoor chairs at the fire pit, just log stumps. Gas grill was adequate. Plenty of hot tub towels, which we used several of as extras in the bathrooms. The shower heads were pretty weak. Kitchen was clean. There was lots of natural light throughout the house, which was nice, except for little kids trying to nap... And some blinds were broken and curtains didn't really block out any light. Plenty of dishes, but the dishwasher didn't really seem to get them all that clean. We would totally stay here again. Pros outweighed the cons by far.

Frustrating
We travel a lot so I always vet the property, this property had eight beds but not even enough hot water for one shower & although it had a tub it wasn’t one I would put my children in. The dishwasher was full when we got there & the dishes that were in the pantry were dirty. Out of nowhere a strange man walked through the privacy fence, I had myself and two young children in the hot tub, scared me. It was the lawn service, mowed the property while we right were there with no notice- had to rush out of the hot tub into the yard to pick up the kids toys- woke up my infant. Dusty and full of cob webs. Their communication is good though, I’ll give them that, they got back to me really quick with an ‘I’m sorry for the inconvenience.’ We were there for one full day for an event for an event in the evening and we went with half ass showers and a crabby baby.
