Spectacular Views – On Graeagle Creek Across From The Mill Pond

Bedrooms 2
Space 159 m²
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 2 - 5 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom Sleeps 5

Enjoy spectacular views of the Mill Pond and Penman Peak from our Graeagle Meadows townhome, right on Graeagle Creek, a year-round stream. There is something for everyone here – fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, golf (5 gorgeous 18 hole courses and two 9 hole courses), cycling, mountain biking, swimming, gold panning, wine tasting, a brewery, and ranger talks/camp fires at nearby Plumas Eureka state park. Then again, you can just sit on the deck and relax to the peaceful sound of the creek, watching the osprey and occasional eagle catch their dinner in the pond.

We have decorated our home in a “contemporary rustic” style. The master is upstairs and features a Cal King bed and a gorgeous view of Penman Peak and the Mill Pond. The downstairs bedroom features a queen bed and “live edge” cedar and beetle-kill pine furniture custom made by an artisan in Seattle. There is also a half bedroom upstairs we call the “bear’s den”, which has a twin bed with a pull-out trundle underneath. Legally it is a bedroom, but it has no windows and is very small. We recommend this room for children only.

The living room, dining area and deck all face the Mill Pond and Penman Peak. There simply is no better spot to watch the fireworks over the pond!! The deck has comfortable outdoor furniture and a dining table that seats four so you can enjoy al fresco dining on the pond. A gas barbeque sits around the corner of the deck out of view.

The living room has a modern, leather reclining sofa, large hi-def flat screen LED TV, blue ray player, and a desk. The dining room has a custom live edge willow table and seats six comfortably. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms and the living room have iPod players.

There are numerous restaurants in the area to satisfy foodies and fans of “down home cooking” alike. Walk to town, which features various community festivals, wine tasting, quaint shops, a grocery store, candy stores, frosties, etc. At the Mill Pond you can rent paddle boats, paddle boards, and kayaks for playing in the pond.

Great Graeagle property

  • 5 of 5

Good location near Graeagle GC, clean with nice furniture. Could use a small TV in upstairs bedroom, but overall I enjoyed this place.

Lovely setting with pretty views!

  • 4 of 5

Lovely setting with pretty views! Well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Clean and comfortable. Was perfect for a wedding we were attending with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. We were not there much, as we had numerous wedding activities to attend, but was great coming back to a comfortable home and beds! We met the gal who does the cleaning for all the rental homes in this complex, and she said this is her favorite unit of all of them! We had a great long wedding weekend ... thanks to Debbie!

Great location! Beautiful views!

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much- perfect for 2 couples. Great for grilling and eating out on the deck with the beautiful views. Three things that would have made our stay perfect...1)Living room area needs seating for one more person, and 2) it was very hot the few days we were there and there are no ceiling fans in any of the rooms, including the bedrooms- we had only one tower fan to use and it was not sufficient to keep the condo comfortable, even at night, and 3)the deck needs some repair work- there are a few spots where the wood is unstable that could be a problem.

Owner's Response: 1) The living room has seating for 4 adults, 3 on the sofa and one on the chair. If you have a child with you, there is a large bean bag chair in the small bedroom upstairs that can be brought to the room. We experimented with an additional chair, but found it blocks the view from the hall and desk too much. 2) There are 3 fans in the house, the tower fan and two small fans that are stored in the downstairs bedroom closet. The small fans are designed to sit in the window sill to draw the cool air in. Usually it is very cool at night. However, there are a few days a year during heat waves where it can still be warm at night until after midnight or so. The tower fan has a timer so you can have it shut off up to 4 hours later so you don't wake up freezing. 3) The deck is maintained by the HOA, who inspects it every fall. We will pass along your concerns to them.

Wonderful week in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Just what we expected for a restful vacation in the Northern Sierras! Convenient, clean and comfortable. Close to the Lakes Basin recreation area and it's scenic lakes, trails, lookouts, and mountain vistas. Swimming and golf is available and plenty of shopping in charming Graeagle stores. A perfect place to unwind and play. We're coming back next year!
