About Wade or Lee Anne Coester
This was our first home in the town where I was born and raised. We completely renovated it then moved a few years later and kept it as a rental. A second complete renovation, 20 years later, left the house so beautiful that we decided to share it as a Guesthouse.
Wade or Lee Anne Coester purchased this House in 1974
Why Wade or Lee Anne Coester chose Cottonwood Falls
So many features made us fall in love with this house - the Victorian design, the front porch detailing, the huge bay window in the dining room, the lovely hardwood floors, the large airy rooms, the shady yard. Comfy beds and seating and antique details complete the look.
What makes this House unique
Plum Street Guesthouse is located on a quiet shady street only 3 blocks from our main street with its historic courthouse, shopping, restaurants, and river bridge park. We are only 3 miles from Tallgrass Prairie Nat'l Park and Chase County State Lake and the lovely vistas of the Flint Hills.

Fantastic experience all around!
Wade and Lee Anne have a wonderful property. We would stay here again and highly recommend.
The owners were very attentive and accommodating. The house was charming, clean, and very well provisioned.
This home was warm and inviting! My husband was Beyond happy with the homemade cinnamon rolls! He can’t say enough how good they were. This was a home equipped with everything you could need. The plus was meeting Wade he was so kind and informative of what was happening in town that we might like.
Thanks so much. I hope you can stay with us again.
Quaint little house on the prairie with plenty of room for family of 5
Charming home with awesome amenities - Kansas small town hospitality that includes sausage links and very yummy cinnamon rolls stocked in fridge! It was a hot Memorial weekend getaway for my family and Wade had the house nice and cool when we showed up. He greeted us at the porch to give us the nickel tour of the house and provided some good suggestions for fun as well as eateries around the area. Thanks for a peaceful and relaxing weekend, Wade and Lee Anne! We know where we’ll be lodging next time we head to the prairies of Kansas.
Thanks so much. I hope you can visit us again.
Perfect location to escape city life
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Cottonwoood Falls VRBO. The owners met us upon arrival and filled us in on the history of the house, the town, and provided suggestions for things to do in the area. The location is within walking distance of downtown and less than a 10 minute drive from Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Cinnamon rolls and sausage were provided every morning and made for a delicious breakfast. The quiet surroundings are the perfect way to escape the busy city atmosphere. We loved our time here and look forward to staying here again in the future.
Thanks so much. I really enjoyed our time to visit and showcase all that Cottonwood Falls and Chase County have to offer. I sincerely hope you can stay with us again.
