About Theresa Sullivan Twiford
Our family is from Wyoming, however, military life has led us far from home. So, we currently live in Falls Church, Virginia but spend as much time as we can back home in Wyoming.
Theresa Sullivan Twiford purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Theresa Sullivan Twiford chose Story
This is truly is one of the finest pieces of property in the Big Horns. For years, we had been looking for just the right place for our family to enjoy each other's company and create memories. The moment we saw this cabin, the creek and the acreage, we knew this was it.

Family Stay at Story
The cabin and surroundings are positively delightful.
The cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly imagine. The kitchen has all the very best appliances and cookware - Cuisinart ect.
The stream is a beauty to behold. There are beautiful wild turkeys and deer that come by daily for visits. Very relaxing and comfortable in every way.
Awesome, will be back. I want to stay in the summer!
Could not have been better, I just want to be there in July and August
I rented this house for my sons graduation. Family was traveling from California and we wanted to quality time.
This house was perfect! The sounds of the rushing water , birds singing. Watching the wildlife through the many glass windows . This place has it all. Comforts of home. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your home and Wyoming .
Outstanding as Usual
This was the 5th consecutive year our group of U of Michigan alums have stayed at the Twiford cabin and we had a great stay and plan to return,God willing, in 2019. Theresa called to make sure all was well and Courtney was attentive and there if we needed anything. A big screen TV for the upstairs would be a nice addition so we could watch Michigan football although there are reasons for not having such. A very fun trip is had each year.
With a population of 900 residents, Story, Wyoming is a mountain community located 17 miles south of Sheridan, 20 miles north of Buffalo and only 6 miles from Interstate 90. Yet, as you ascend into the Big Horn mountains, the sights, sounds and smells let you know that you have arrived at someplace very special.
There are some neat shops and restaurants in Story, but the lush mountain landscape and pure glacial run off of North Piney Creek are what make this place so appealing. The trout fishing is wonderful and there are hiking trails which head right out of the town and wind their way for miles up into the Big Horn National Forest. Other things to see are the Fish Hatchery, the historical Fort Phil Kearney and the locations of two important Indian battles- the Wagon Box Battle of 1867 and the Fetterman Fight of 1866. The Big Horn Equestrian Center and Polo grounds as well as the Powder Horn Golf Club are a short distance as well as all that both Sheridan and Buffalo have to offer.
