Why Rokhaya Waring chose Gloucester
We are in a quiet garden setting, but close to a bustling small city, rich with history, places to visit, eat, shop and experience. We have beaches, wildlife, and sunsets over the ocean, concerts, plays, exhibits, and festivals- all within an incredibly friendly community. This area of Gloucester feels like a village, with everything one needs close by, and we often feel that we are on vacation right here at home!
What makes this Apartment unique
My husband and I love living in this area of Gloucester that has inspired so many artists: Fitz Henry Lane, Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper, John Sloan- to name just a few. We love being able to cross the street for a freshly baked muffin and paper at The Last Stop; take in a show at Gloucester Stage; walk to Rocky Neck for breakfast at Sailor Stan's; have drinks or dinner on the water at The Rudder. We can stroll to the end of the Neck to see the old Copper Paint Factory (now the headquarters for Ocean Alliance), with the best views across the harbor; through America's oldest shipyard (Gloucester Marine Railways) to see the boats being worked on; take the water shuttle across the harbor to Main Street, Gloucester to shop or dine, and then back.

Rest and Relaxation
We spent 5 nights at this clean and comfortable property. Quite a selection of restaurants in the area. Cape Ann far exceeded our expectation.
Lovely, Private and Relaxing
Rokhaya and Alex have spared nothing to make this a special visit. It is small but because it is open with tall ceilings you are very comfortable here. The bedroom and bath just add to your comfort with the bed having a sleep number mattress; also nice to have 2 entrances to your bathroom. There are views of the harbor right from your well designed windows. The private deck is inviting. The back yard must be beautiful in the late spring/summer with all the perennials...(sorry we missed them). The location is perfect to enjoy all that the Gloucester area has to offer. The kitchen has everything you would need if you want to get creative and cook; or there are many very good restaurants a short drive away. We will definitely keep this on our go to list when visiting. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home away from home.

Absolutely loved this place. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks Rokhaya
We loved everything about this place. Clean and peaceful. Modern upto date kitchen and bathroom.
Another fabulous stay at this beautiful home!
This is our third time staying at The Willow House. We enjoy the light, bright space and beautiful yard. We hope to stay again next year!
Relaxing and Peaceful
Wonderful place to stay. The garden was gorgeous and there was a hammock and chairs for a relaxing in. Nice kitchen. Comfortable Sleep Number bed. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
Dinner at Duckworth’s Bistrot was very good. It is a short walk from Willow House.
A New England Giverny
Rokhaya has created a beautiful garden, that is a treat for the eye whether you look out on it or sit in its shade on a summer day. Beautiful, luminous colors inside, too. The flat is fabulously equipped as well, so guests who like to cook may well prefer to eat here rather than go out to the good restaurants nearby. Willow House is a place of beauty and restfulness, where I have already returned many times and hope to do so again.
