About this property

With your own private cottage enjoy La Jolla beaches and village and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, just four blocks from the golden sand of WindanSea and Marine Street beaches. The residence has air conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) This is a gardener's paradise - featuring a raised vegetable garden for planting and one dozen fruit trees - lemon, avocado, orange, fig, lime, tangerine. Enjoy your gardening passion with the freedom to plant in the garden. Accommodations are a 1 bedroom/1 bath with large living/dining/kitchen area and private fenced in yard with fig and fruit trees, outdoor dining table, BBQ, outdoor couches and lounge chairs. All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table and an island area for eating and cooking. Free Direct TV and WiFi Internet come with the rental. The unit also includes a washer and dryer.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.

The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home. As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. Come and enjoy the beauty and relaxation provided by our fabulous La Jolla!

Wonderful cottage stay

The cottage was spotless, well equipped and located an easy walk from everything. We loved using it as our La Jolla home base. The back yard and seating area were fantastic. We loved being able to get limes straight off the tree! We will definitely be back.

A lovely La Jolla Retreat

This cozy apartment made for a wonderful stay during our time in San Diego. It is stylish and comfortable and the outdoor garden space is absolutely lovely. We very much enjoyed eating eating the abundant fruit from the patio! The home is also in a great location with easy access to the beach (Windandsea) and La Jolla village!
