About Rick Singbusch
We live in and work in Rochester and bought the property back in 1995 and finally built the cabin in 2005. Have really enjoyed the fishing and the quiet there.
Rick Singbusch purchased this Cabin in 1995
Why Rick Singbusch chose Longville
We bought this property because of its quiet location, the size of the lot, and the proximity to town. It's only a mile and a half to the restaurant and gas station in town but you feel like you are a long way from civilization when you are sitting on the deck or out fishing. The lake is a good fishing lake for panfish, largemouth, and northern pike. The lake is about ¼ mile wide by ½ mile long, about 60 acres, it’s not unusual to be the only one fishing on it.
What makes this Cabin unique
We have really enjoyed quiet and privacy of this property and the excellent fishing. There aren't many trophies in this lake but if you enjoy catching 2 to 5 lb northerns along with largmouth bass, crappies, and panfish you will love this lake. You can see from the pictures that the lot itself has a large open area with a couple of wildflower gardens. There is also a couple of acres of woods with mowed trails in them.

peaceful and comfortable
This place will take your worries away. Tranquil, quiet setting. What a lovely piece of planet Earth. We shared the visit only with wildlife. Not once in 3 days was there anyone on the lake. Our host has everything to give you comfort and all those extra things you forgot and more. We didn't want to leave. The bed was fantastic.
If you like to hike, the access point to the North Country Trail is just abou 2.5 miles up the dirt road(co. rd 125).
Canoe was very stable and easy to maneuver even for a soloist.
Good area for birding. Especially waterfowl.
There is a quality coffee shop in town (longville) 1.5 miles from cabin: called Common Grounds. Their hours are limited so take note of that. They offer simple breakfast sandwiches in the morning.
If you like antique shops and are coming up Hwy 371. Pine River has the best we saw.
Kitchen was well equipt, including the grill set up.
If you want your own space to stretch and breathe this will suit you.
Fits our needs to a "T"
The only change we would make is sunny and warm every day,
But if ya can't deal with the weather you may as well just stay home and miss out on a great visit in the Longville area.
This place is awesome!
Very quiet location, however only a few minutes from town. This place has everything you need on site for a getaway. Very clean cabin, property is well maintained. We'll be staying here again in the future.
Just what we were looking for. 2-4 people perfect place. Great owners.
great little get away that's all a couple could want.
Quiet little place on a small lake with many things to do. Fishing was great and was so peaceful and relaxing. Already planning on making it a yearly getaway! Not a large place but just perfect for a couple. Every thing was as stated about the place and much more just in case you forgot something. The Longville area is a great place to just get away from it all. Hope it works out that we can make the trip many more times. THE KLINGS
