About the property

2 BR / 2.5 BA, 1,350 Sq. Ft. With Mountain Views

We purchased three Townhomes in the center core of downtown Leavenworth. The Townhomes are in excess of 1,300 square feet, are luxuriously furnished and are new built. We took possession on August 20, 2013. Each Two Bedroom Townhome has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, each room with its own bathroom with soaking tubs. A fully functioning and equipped kitchen allows you to cook meals instead of going out to dinner every night. The dining/living room combination is a large open space that allows for plenty of room to get together and hang out. A gorgeous balcony overlooks the cascade mountains and is furnished with very comfortable outdoor living room style furniture. PLEASE NOTE: The view from the balcony may be different than the view on the picture.

About Hans Mulders

I was born in the Netherlands and raised in Ethiopia, where my family and I lived from when I was 6 months old until I turned 12. Actually on my 12th birthday, my sister, who was 13 at the time, and I flew without adult supervision from Addis Abeba (Capital of Ethiopia) to Amsterdam. This must be where my sense of permanent adventure comes from.

I finished high school and decided I wanted to do the same things as my dad – become an engineer and travel the world to underdeveloped countries and create jobs and development for them. While going to the Technical School, I found a job as a server in a restaurant in Holland. Did I ever hate Technical School. After two years I had seen enough and decided to leave school and work full-time as a server and just loved it. After about six months my father asked me if I was happy and if I wanted to do this for the rest of my life, or if I wanted to go back to college to get a degree in Hotel Management. I knew then that I wanted to be involved in the hospitality industry for the rest of my life, so I decided to go back to college. I went from a C student to a straight A student at the hotel School. I absolutely loved it.

While going to college I went to France during the summer vacation and managed a Campground with two bars and a restaurant. I had the time of my life. The owner let me do whatever I wanted and we ended up making so much money for him that he actually paid me twice as much as he had agreed to when the job started.

After College, I worked a variety of Hotel Jobs, including Banquet Manager, Director of Catering, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing and General Manager.

I finally realized my dream by buying my own Inn in Leavenworth and we just added this Townhouse as a nightly rental.

Why Hans Mulders chose Leavenworth

The location is the best, the Townhouses are brand new with all brand new furniture and are very tastefully decorated by my very talented wife. The Townhouse is located across the street from the Obertal Inn, which we own and operate.

What makes this townhome unique

The downtown location really convinced us that this was the right place.

Pet friendly townhouse

  • 5 of 5

This home was located directly across from the river trail in Leavenworth making it an excellent choice for people traveling with a pet. It has a "new" feel and was very clean. Our party of five adults had plenty of room and the beds very comfortable. Everything we needed was in easy walking distance. We picked up a cheat sheet from the local pet food store that listed all the places to eat that allowed dogs so we never left our pet alone in the apartment. Dogs on leash are allowed on the Icicle Gorge Trail which was covered in wild flowers when we went June1st and 2nd.

Great location, easy to work with

  • 5 of 5

We rented the condo for a couple of our friends and ourselves. At the time, we were unaware that the Obertal Hotel Inn managed the space which made it so incredibly easy. Although it is physically separate from the hotel, the condo's connection to the hotel makes checking in easy. It also allows you quick access to any questions you may have.

Finally, it is right above our favorite brewery in Leavenworth, Blewitt! It's a great location and we highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Leavenworth.

Excellent Space and great location

  • 5 of 5

The space was perfect for our stay. I have a couple of comments. The listing advertises as having free wifi but we were unable to access it. I work when I travel, so having connectivity is essential and is a feature I look for when selecting a space. We contacted the front desk and they were unable to assist us. The space has smart televisions with netflix, etc., but there was no network. So, we rented a dvd at Safeway but the dvd player had no hdmi or rc cords to attach to the television. This does not take away from the overall experience in any way, but it was a little disappointing. Second, I drive a large one ton pickup. Covered parking is tight for a big rig, so just be aware.

Those really are pretty small issues, I would definitely stay here again. Great location, great unit, very comfortable and well appointed.
