About Elizabeth Davidson
We are committed to making the world a better place. We worked with the United Nations last year to bring educational opportunites to kids in Latin America through our work the United Nations Global Scribes Program. We love to travel and to be of service. Both my husband and I put our heart and soul into renovating this property. I sure hope you can feel the love. I grew every plant from seedlings and cuttings in the back garden. We designed and planted the garden (just about killed us) and did most of the decorating and renovating ourselves. Your stay with us helps make the world a better place. We give a portion of your stay to charity. Last year we were able to help build 6 houses for earthquake victims in Oaxaca. We hope to be able to build 8 houses this year. Thank you for renting with us. **You are helping make the world a better place.**

Why Elizabeth Davidson chose Los Angeles
Location. Location. Location!!! This is the most PEACEFUL street in the very center of LA. You really do wake up to birds singing. It's the perfect place to unwind after a hectic day. It's great that it's such a diverse community. Getting great Mexican, Japanese, Vegan, Korean food in 5 minutes is such a plus. DTLA is the new hip destination in LA. We have the Broad Museum and Marciano Art Foundation which are FREE and a TON of restaurants all with in 7 minutes. Centrally located to EVERYTHING. Guests love having a serene oasis in the middle of everything. I LOVE that the unique set up of having a hall between the bedrooms gives extra privacy for guests. LOVE that when you open the windows 10 months of the year you feel ocean breezes. Ahhh.
What makes this Apartment unique
Lush, private veranda makes your own tropical paradise. Unique floor plan ( hall between bedroom areas) gives everyone privacy. Full kitchen with microwave, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery. Your own laundry room Perfect for your pooch. You have your own private dog run! Free designated parking for 1 car and street parking The Hippest place in LA DTLA is 6 minutes away. Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Korea Town, and the Beaches. LA art scene, music and food scene is so close. George Lucas (Star Wars creator) is our new neighbor! He's spending $1 Billion in our neighborhood on his new museum .
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The place was clean. The check in was easy. The neighborhood was good. This apartment (one of 3 on the building) is laid out like a regular home - you walk into a living room, then there is a dining room, then a kitchen. Down the hall is a bathroom and a bedroom. The owner has simply put a bed into the dining room and hung panel drapes over all the doorways around it. The layout was fine with me, but not exactly what we expected. The "dressing room" is simply a closet (not even a walk-in closet) under a stairway. The drawers in it are not on slides and are heavy, so they are very difficult to open. The couple I could open were full of stuff. There are 2 closet rods for hanging clothes in there. The lower rod is useless as there is stuff stored on the floor underneath it. I am nearly 6 feet tall. I had to stand on my tip toes and stretch to hang things on the top rod. The veranda off the master bedroom is too tiny for 2 people to sit out there and the furniture is filthy. The outdoor furniture (in the back yard) is really filthy. We were there to see the city, not lounge around the house, so that didn't matter to us - but it might to you. It was very hot in LA the week we were there. We were instructed to turn off the little floor AC's when we left the house each day. When we came back in the evening, it was 83 - 85 - 87 degrees in the home every evening. There was no way tho cool down the apartment. With the AC's and small fans running all night, it was still 76 -77 degrees in the mornings. What could we do? We were told to turn off the AC's when we left the place! The AC in the back bedroom is connected to a power strip pulled across in front of (blocking) the veranda door. Check in is after 4pm. We arrived at 5:30pm. The cleaning lady was still there. She left towels in the washer. She left us 1 washcloth. We immediately requested more washcloths. The next day we had not received them, requested again and finally got them the third day. The morning of the third day, the internet (including TV) was out. We immediately reported that. "Carlos" (who we were supposed to contact) could not help us. We did not have internet (or TV) the remainder of our visit. The blinds and curtains do not cover the windows properly, There is a 1/2 inch gap under the front door. The AC vents don't fit in the windows. We asked for help - didn't get much.
Los Angeles near downtown
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. Convenient to downtown and to I-10 freeway. Nice amenities like coffee and coffee maker, laundry facilities, TV. Parking is a little cramped, but do-able. Nice that it is pet-friendly.
Property is very nice. Elizabeth and Brian (house manager) are great and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a terrific week! We’ll be back!
We loved hosting you. Looking forward to your next stay with us!!!
The place was noisy. Three units. Be sure to rent upstairs unit if available. Attention needed to front window (weather stripping).
Bathroom needs sprucing up. Full size mirror would be nice, as would full size ironing board.
Otherwise place was just ok.
If another guest was noisy we wish you would have informed us. This review is the first we were informed that another group was being inconsiderate. Had you let us know we would have asked other guests to be more thoughtful and quieter.
We have GREAT guests and I'm sure they would have been a bit quieter for you.
Brian fixed the weatherstripping the previous guest damaged. Glad you took advantage of the washer, drier and used the ironing board.
Very cute, owner Elizabeth very attentive to your needs.
Very responsive property manager
Glad to take good care of you!
