About the property

Unusual apartment , very much a home, in a convenient, central location.

This extremely spacious and beautifully decorated apartment sleeping four has the feeling of a home and not just accommodation to be rented out. The colours are rich and sumptuous. The rooms are large and the feeling of calm and space that the flat offers is a welcome relief after a busy day’s sightseeing. A long passage leads to an area with desk, and to the cosy living room which, in turn, leads to a glass conservatory used as a dining room beyond which is the charming garden. One of the two bedrooms is at the back of the apartment looking at the garden and is extremely quiet. It has its ensuite bathroom (shower). The second bedroom is at the front of the flat and has big bay windows facing south – its bathroom (bathtub) is across the passage.. Both these bedrooms have queen size double beds (5ft or 160cm), and there is also an additional single bed. The kitchen is small but very well equipped.. There is excellent security, Wi-Fi, 32 inch flat screen TV . Earls Court tube station is a five minute walk away (both Piccadilly & District Lines). Excellent shopping facilities around the corner.

Sightseeing :

South Kensington (Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum) is a short bus ride, or two stops on the tube.

Knightsbridge (Harrods) is 3 stops. Piccadilly, West End theatres, Soho, etc is a fifteen minute tube journey on the Piccadilly line.

Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and South Bank activities are about a twenty minute ride on the District Line.

Tower of London a bit further.

Arrival Access:

Heathrow Airport: Direct access to Piccadilly line tube from all terminals with a 40 minute journey to Earls Court. You buy an Oyster card for all your Tube and Bus travel during your stay, with a one week travel card if you are staying that long.

Gatwick Airport. Take the Gatwick express to Victoria (they sell tickets in the baggage hall which saves time). Then take District line to Earls Court (4 stops). About 5-6 min walk to flat from Earls Court tube station.

Heathrow is 30-40 minutes by road. Gatwick 1 hour. It is possible (via Google) to pre-book a minicab to be waiting at arrivals.

We truly loved the apartment it was perfect for the 4 of us. Our family agreed it was one of the smartest decisions we made to stay there. It was so charming and comfortable; a great place to unwind at the end of the day. We had plenty of room to relax - tea and shortbread cookies before bed became routine for the week. The location was also terrific, very convenient to the tube, plenty of places to eat or buy groceries. We loved London!

Very convenient and well equipped property with lots of character.

Stayed a week at this very comfortable property. Well located 5 mins walk from Earls Court station with lots of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs very close. Property very well equipped with lots of cooking utensils, good washing machine and dryer and also had loads of character with traditional furnishings and quirky decoration. Property was clean and had the few things we needed to settle in (milk, tea, coffee, washing detergents etc). Stayed in middle of winter and heating was very efficient. Would stay there again. Owner and manager were very helpful and courteous.

Great location, easy access to London

Our family of 4 had a great stay in this delightful place. Enough room to each have their space. Easy walk to the Tube with 2 lines so everything was readily accessible. We arrived late in the evening, but instructions on where to find everything were very clear and we settled in well. The house was nicely heated on a timer, so when we returned at the end of the day the house was very welcoming. Would absolutely stay there again.

Garden flat in the Earl's Court area. Absolutely wonderful location.

The property was very clean and well stocked. We had a family of 4 and there was more space than I had anticipated. The flat is 2 blocks from the tube station with a small grocery store in between which was very convenient. Mary was sweet to meet us earlier than check in time and showed us around the flat. Lots of good tourist info. Overall a fantastic experience!

Delightful and arty, comfortable all around.

This was a great apartment, very quiet and peaceful, even though it was easy to get around from the apartment. We loved the custom painted walls and antique furniture. The place had a homey feel, as though you were a guest in a friend's house. The dining room and connected small back garden were wonderful for meals and hanging out. Everything in the apartment was operational, and the beds were quite comfortable. Mary, the owner's representative who met us, was warm, welcoming, witty and generally nice to see as our first contact after an overnight flight to London. She gave us a thorough run-down of the workings of the flat. We didn't need to contact her after getting the keys, but as she had biked over for that meeting, my guess is it would have been very easy for her to pop in for any other need. One minor issue, while the flat was clean, the basement level does come with a bit of a musty smell, which cleared out well once we got the windows open for a good cross breeze from the front to the back of the flat.

Access to sights was a breeze via the Earl's Court tube station, about 3 blocks away. A "city bikes" station is even nearer, and those work well in the areas I explored (mostly along the river and to Portobello Road).

I would certainly stay at this flat again.

Perfect Choice!

My family and I were very happy with this apartment. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and well stocked. We had extra towels, blankets, pots and pans, dishes, glassware etc. The apartment is at the western side of the city in a residential area. It was quiet , and very close to the tube station. Very convenient. Stores and restaurants very close as well. For a Family (we are four) this was a great choice. So much nicer (and less costly) than a hotel. Great to have the two bedrooms and two bathrooms with the children. I highly recommend!

Car: not necessary

The prestigious Earls Court Square is a very quiet residential area minutes away from the closest underground (tube) station, Earls Court, which is on both the District and Picadilly lines thus offering very quick access to all the main London Tourist attractions and the West End with its theatres, shopping etc. For example, two stops away on the Picadilly line, less than ten minutes, is South Kensington (Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum). Three stops finds you in Knightsbridge (Harrods). And so on. There are also plenty of buses. Around the corner from the flat, in Earls Court Road, you find all manner of food shops (a Marks & Spencer food shop is minutes away and open until 11pm), small supermarket, chemists including a Boots, stationary, post office, 2 banks, laundry, etc. Also plenty of restaurants, cafes, pubs and takeaways. A very quiet location extraordinarily convenient for a visitor to London.

We are also just 7 stops from Wimbledon for the famous tennis tournament (District Line, no change needed and trains leave every four minutes).

Earls Court Exhibition Centre is a five minute walk from the apartment.

The Olympia Exhibition Centre is a short bus ride away.

  • One bedroom is situated at the back of the flat and is therefore extremely quiet - you could imagine you were in the country and not in the centre of London! It has its ensuite bathroom with shower. The other bedroom is very spacious and faces south. It has its own bathroom across the passage, with bathtub. There is a foldaway single bed (80cm x 190cm) which can also go into this bedroom, should there be two people who would rather have separate beds. This bed is equipped with a second mattress to ensure your comfort. We prefer to have a maximum of 4 people stay in the apartment.
