About this property

Because this property is located at the end of Lake Como and at the end of a private road it offers seclusion and intimacy while being only 3 miles from downtown Lake Geneva. The house has newly been renovated but still maintains its old cottage charm. Amenities include : , 3 Bedrooms, 1 1/2 Bathrooms, Fireplace, Washer, Dryer, Central Air, Incredible Stereo, 3 TVs, Wi-Fi, Gas and Charcoal grills. Lake Como is a great lake for large mouth bass as well as northern pike , a 16' 6'' alum fishing boat with 10 hp motor is provided at no charge . A canoe is also provided as well as floating devices for swimming. The pier goes in May 1st and comes out October 15.

For winter snowmobilers, the trails can be accessed from the yard via the lake. If we are short on snow this year the lake will home to ice boating and skaters.

Wonderful Long Weekend Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Lake Como with friends. Easily slept 6. Beautiful lake view and fishing boat a plus! Also 2 nice eating and drinking establishments within walking distance was also a benefit Andy the host was very communicative and helpful. Easy access to downtown Lake Geneva and Lake Geneva itself.

Family Lake Vacation

Andrew's property was ideal for our family vacation to the Lake Geneva area. Situated on Lake Como, the views and lake access were unbeatable. Next time we're going to rent a boat. Walking distance to restaurants and close proximity to Lake Geneva and golf courses. The house is clean and organized and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

About the host

I am 72, single and the third generation to own the house. My grand parents bought the property in 1923 which was just a summer home. In 1949 they built the present house moved here from Chicago and retired. As kids my brother and I spent many summers up here with our with our grandparents for which I have many fond memories.

What makes this property unique

This area is rich in history about Chicago gangsters from the 20's. Bugs Moran use to frequent the hotel close by . I have a vague memory of the hotel owner who remarried Morans wife and moved her in the house next door. My father claims he use to play with Bugsy's son.
