About the property

Special offer from 13th- 20th July 2018 - only £700 for the week!!

We're happy to offer 3 nights minimum during non-peak periods. Set within the grounds of The Old Manor House, this charming brick and flint Barn offers spacious and well-appointed accommodation, plus a central location in Cley Next the Sea. Full of character, it comprises 2 generous double rooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with a TV and adjoining family room, which has 2 single beds, plus a truckle bed to sleep a third. The family room is divided from the main double bedroom by a door, but does not have a separate entrance and so is ideally suited for children.

The ground floor bathroom is finished to a high specification, with a Duravit bathroom suite. There is a bath and integrated shower, washbasin and WC. High grade, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a Miele oven and Miele hob, microwave, Bosch dishwasher, AEG washer/dryer and fridge with freezer compartment. There is also a large fridge/freezer in the garage - which is adjacent to the barn and easily reached - which is solely for guest use. The garage is also useful for guests to store bikes, fishing equipment, body boards or anything else you might wish to store in the dry and out of the barn itself.

The main living/dining area is spacious, with a comfortable seating area and log burner. There is a large, wall-mounted TV with Freeview and internet TV. In addition, there is a DVD player and a selection of DVDs for you to choose from. The dining table is situated near to the kitchen and sits up to 8 comfortably. Two walls are mostly covered with book shelves and we have plenty for you to read!

Outside there is an attractive garden area, bordered by willow fencing. There is a wooden garden table and chairs with umbrella, that sits on a sheltered terrace, plus a small lawn and we provide a BBQ in the summer months.

CHILDREN FRIENDLY

For guests with small children, we have a travel cot, 1 high chair and a booster seat and both sets of stairs are fitted with stair gates.

The local area itself has lots of things for younger children to do, including crabbing at Blakeney, the seal trips from Morston and Blakeney Quays, plus within walking distance of the barn is a small playground. North Norfolk itself is full of fun activities for children and we have details within the barn.

PARKING

There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the barn.

(Please note we have a FRIDAY turn around day and a no smoking policy.)

The Barn is Beautiful!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in Cley. it was our first time, but our friends had been there before and have family in the village.

The house was lovely, spacious with high ceilings and lots of light. There was a dishwasher and washing machine/dryer - very handy, though we mostly washed dishes by hand.

Rachel was very welcoming and helpful with any queries.

The conversion was very sympathetically done, with lots of original details to enjoy.

The location was perfect for us - close to what we needed and close to friends.

We would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful place. We loved it.

  • 5 of 5

Had everything we needed Inc bbq and lovely garden furniture which we used every day to get the last of the sun. A tall mirror would be good in the ensuite bedroom. Lots of info in the house about local area and things to do. Loads of books to read and good tv. Loved it.!

Late Birthday Weekend Away

  • 5 of 5

The accommodation was excellent, clean, tidy and welcoming with a very nice Welcome Pack. On arrival, the Owner popped around to check everything was okay and was very helpful and keen to assist if there were any concerns, which there weren't. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to friends and family. A hidden gem.

A hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a week, 6 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room for us all and a pretty little garden for a bbq. Lots of lovely walking around Cley and 2 pubs within walking distance. Set a little way back from the main road, but very quiet. Comfy beds and loved the wood burner, which we didn’t need as the house was warm, but we used it anyway.

Rachel was quick to reply to my questions, and she popped over to welcome us, which was a nice touch.

Beautiful conversion, very comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Cley is a beautiful village with great fish smokery and Deli. Some good pubs around. Barn very pretty. We had terrible weather so the Wood burner helped keep us warm and cosy. Small but well equipped kitchen. One bedroom upstairs not en-suite means trip downstairs to loo.

Loved the 4 day break and would return again.
