About Tracy Hobson
G'day from Australia. I work in a Secondary School just 15 minutes from home. I love cycling and hiking. I''m a huge enthusiast who loves the outdoors, friendship, lots of food and wonderful wine. I'm very blessed to live in the Yarra Valley home of magnificent eateries and world class wineries. If you stay here you will be within minutes of this magnificent country playground. I've travelled to USA, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Fiji, the Cook Islands and New Zealand. I've cycled and hiked in all of these countries. The Yarra Valley is on par with the most beautiful places in the world. Come and share some of this paradise with me.

Comfortable, quiet and welcoming place to stay
Comfortable guest room in a quiet neighbourhood only minutes to the centre of town. Great place to stay for a weekeend away. Very gracious host made us feel at home in her home and also provided a lovely breakfast. Very enjoyable!
Cold, bedroreally small. nowhere to hang clothing, attendind a wedding so had suirt to hang.
Awful awful awful. The owner was like a Sargeant Major, we were made to feel like new army recruits, ironic really, as our visit was over the Anzac weekend. Trouble from the outset. Was told to remove shoes. My wife's feet were swollen after 7-hour journey. No matter, shoes had to come off. Could not get her shoes on again. The house was cold, in particular, the bedroom and bathroom, no provision for heating, yet the owner complained that we were using the heat light in the bathroom. We were also reprimanded for placing a used towel alongside the bath to air. Next, we were told off for washing a cup and glass instead of using the washing machine. My son and wife called to pick us up. Naturally, they entered the house, taking off their shoes first. The owner began to shout at them to 'get out, you should not be in here'. This upset them greatly and indeed ourselves. None of the house information 'banned' visitors. On every wall and appliance, there were numeral notices and commands. Throughout our stay, the owner was rude and domineering. On our final day, we left very early in the morning to avoid her. Regarding wearing footwear in the house, we were told this was to protect the carpet, yet she placed two street bikes in the lounge. Our entire visit was horrible. Never ever again, and we shall inform all our family and friends to aviod your company like the plague.
You were warmly welcomed into our home and given our usual warm greeting. Our home is shoes off as per the household conditions agreed to by all guests when booking. Our decorative signs at the front door remind you to “Kindly Remove Your Shoes.” Greeting signs show you there is filtered tap water to and organic sourdough bread. They warn you that the chef quality knives are extremely sharp. The other sign welcomes you to enjoy your breakfast and place your dishes in the dishwasher and explains the single serve butter and milk is in the fridge for you.
No short term rentals in private homes accept guest to bring in visitors. Actually your son and daughter were respectfully told all of this with me showing great distress at asking them to wait outside. Explaining the insurance and privacy concerns that are there for their protection. My impression was there were more worried about how you were going to react. I tried my very best to welcome you Raymond and spoke of my concern with your wife. About your demanding angry tone, your confusion and failure to make eye contact and you leaving every door cupboard door open and light on throughout the house. Your wife constantly made eye contact with me and warned me over how hard you were to please. You seemed very confused and unkind. There are three heaters available in our home and our welcome information encourages you to use them. The beds have goose feather doonas and luxurious sheets. There is a wardrobe with a snuggly second quilt and shelves for clothing. You were invited to use the double door robe beside your room for handing your garments. A large dresser as well as bedside drawers are in the bedroom. I do not think you are alright and expressed my worries to your wife about your processing skills.
When you left I found that you urinated completely onto the toilet mat leaving it sodden with the toilet floor soaked. I had to throw this floor mat in the rubbish bin. You left before I returned home and it seems you urinated this way spitefully. You were very rude to my overseas guest and he was concerned also about you.
It was lovely
Beautiful property host was lovely would recommend
Very Welcoming shared space home
The central person in a b and b situation has to be the owner / manager. You could not have have a more welcoming accommodating person than Tracy. Everything was arranged around our comfort.
Tracy was extremely helpful with regards to local restaurants, wineries and places to see Yarra Valley at its best.
A great hostess and comfortable home.
