We’re not a hotel chain or big corporation…just a family whose dream was always to own property in the mountains. We love Breckenridge because it’s a real town with a real history dating back to 1859, much of which has been carefully preserved in Colorado’s largest historic district. The skiing is fabulous, but the summers have kept us coming back since 1999. You CANNOT get bored here: outside of the amazing array of winter sports (downhill skiing, cross-county skiing, heli-skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, snowmobiling, dogsledding, ice climbing, sleigh riding), there’s a dizzying array of 3-season outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, golfing, white water rafting, kayaking, ballooning, swimming, running, tennis…pretty much something for everyone! Our condo is a great, peaceful escape for our family, and we’re anxious to share it with you on your next mountain vacation!

This condo gives our family of six room to spread out. The bedrooms are separated by the living room and entryway, affording a lot of privacy. The location at the Village at Breckenridge can't be for lunch and walk to just about everything in town. Located next to the paved Blue River bike trail, Breckenridge Children's Museum, 2 blocks to Riverwalk Performing Arts Center, 3 blocks to nearest grocery/liquor stores, 4 blocks to ice rink, 5 blocks to Breckenridge Arts District

Owner's Response: Our location is truly special and something that can’t be duplicated. Not only are we “where the mountain meets Main Street,” I believe that our condo is in one of the best spots in the complex. We are on the southeast corner of the top floor with only one shared wall with another unit. The views are great outside every window!

Owner's Response: We'd be glad to have you back! Breckenridge Ski Resort usually opens the second week in November and closes around the third week in April. However, ski season here in Colorado can last as long as 8 or 9 months depending on the snow that Mother Nature delivers to us each year. Two nearby resorts, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland, usually open in October and close in May or June (and sometimes in July if the snow has been really plentiful). With our really low "shoulder season" rates in October, April, and May, our condo can be a very affordable home base for the ski family that just can't get enough!

Excellent pre-planning on owner's part. We had no problem with various details. Probably not the Ward's planning...but an HOA issue in the condo: upon arrival the key boxes with the parking pass and the room keys are located in the open (cold) part of the garages. Upon arrival one must navigate the weather inside the garage and the small combinations on the boxes (and there are several hanging there). The HOA should do something different. Otherwise: The Ward condo gets an "A".

Owner's Response: I'm glad we made the grade! Although we rely on the HOA to generate our keys, the check-in process is entirely our own. I can tell you that we've put a lot of thought into our process and have done our best to incorporate what we feel are the best practices of the home-share industry. We've stayed in many vrbo and AirBnB houses around the world and there are three things about the check-in process that frustrate me. First, I hate checking-in off-site. When I arrive at a place on vacation, I don't want to drive around town looking for the management company's office or trying to arrange a meeting with the "host" in some unfamiliar location. Second, I hate waiting. If you arrive at check-in time at many large hotels and management companies, you oftentimes end up waiting forever while the one front desk clerk processes each individual party. And the last thing I hate is when there are limited, specific hours for check-in. I once waited for my "host" for over 45 minutes when he missed our meeting time to check us in to his apartment in Dublin. It was a helpless feeling, and I started to feel like I had been tricked. (After repeated phone calls, he eventually showed up!) Our process is simple, on-site, and available 24 hours with no waiting. And just to clarify, our check-in takes place out of the weather in the lighted, patrolled, and covered entrance to our parking garage. After all, we can't grant you access to the heated, secure part of the garage until you get the keys!

We have been guests at Alpenview Suite multiple times and have never been disappointed. The unit is always clean and the furnishings are up to date and very comfortable. The location is great and so are the views from the balcony. We come to Breck for the mountain views, hiking and biking but our stay at Alpenview always makes our visit complete. Thanks, The Knapp's

Great time in Breckenridge

We had a wonderful time in Breckenridge and appreciated the condo. Nice amenities, GREAT location and excellent view! We hiked three trials, used the hot tub and steam room everyday. Would recommend.

Owner's Response: Our location is truly special. Sure, you can rent a million dollar house on Peak 8, but its location won't be better than ours. Our guests can walk about 100 yards to the ski lift or national forest hiking trails, or they can walk about 5 minutes in the other direction to be smack dab in the middle of one of Colorado's largest historic districts with its shops, restaurants, bars, spas, museums, and galleries. In short, most people find they do not need a car once they get here.

Fall Break in Breckenridge was Lovely!

Condo provides spectacular views of the mountain and beautiful city of Breckenridge. We hiked and relaxed for a special three day fall break. We saw sunshine, fall, and even a some snowflakes in a beautiful mountain setting. We recommend this condo for it's excellent location, views, and clean, comfortable furnishings. Thank you!
