Spacious lake view log home on 5 acres with private boat dock. Maximum 2 boats allowed at this dock (use your own boats or rent some close by). Awe inspiring, 280 degree view of Georgetown Lake, Continental Divide Mountain Range and the surrounding forests. Ideal for peace and quiet. Neighboring homes all around, but far enough away to allow privacy. Walk 100 yards to the lake for summer or winter sports activities. Discovery Ski hill is a 15 minute drive from this home. It's the best kept skiing secret in Montana and is often praised as the best skiing, most reasonable prices. Use your own snowmobiles to ride over 120 miles of nearby groomed mountain trails directly out the front door. Old Works golf course is 1/2 hour drive to Anaconda. It is a Jack Nicklaus signature course, and a challenge to the best golfers. The lake offers boating, swimming, outstanding fishing both summer and winter. Para-skiing tournaments are held each February. Ice fishing is popular here. Two restaurants close by serve burgers, sandwiches, steaks and breakfast. The small community of Philipsburg is 20 minutes to the west and has shops, restaurants and entertainment. This is the most beautiful home on the lake with by far the best view. Come and enjoy! Please be aware that this is a log house in the woods in the country. There will be bugs occasionally. If you don't like bugs and the outdoors, this house is not for you. This is a smoke free home. Smoking is permitted outside the house. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly as fire danger is always high in western forests. Check in is at 5:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM. No tents or campers are allowed on the property. Day events (weddings, family reunions, etc) are limited to 40 people and there will be an extra charge of $500 per event. About Cora Wyant
We will give you information about the owners, but you will mostly be dealing with the on-site manager, Cora Wyant, who lives near the property. Cora is a friendly, capable manager and cleaner and will do what she can to make your stay the best vacation you've ever had. I, Bob Morris, grew up in Anaconda and after college I spent my career in Mexico and in Southern California working in the aerospace & electronic industries. I returned to the community of my birth after retirement. Home again! My wife, Joan grew up outside Chicago and has lived in Montana for the past 40 years. She was Director of the Western Montana Metal Health Center. We are currently retired and reside in Anaconda, although we love to travel and stay in VRBO homes all over the world!
Cora Wyant purchased this Lodge in 1993
Why Cora Wyant chose Anaconda
We built this house after selling our electronics business in San Diego. We first owned a smaller house nearby but I always envisioned spending my final years on a mountaintop to see the sun come up in the morning and go down in the evening to fish, ski, hike and snowmobile right out my door. It's a dream come true.
What makes this Lodge unique
We built this house in 1993 and we never get tired of the magnificent view over the lake. To see the wonderful mountains, forests and animals and experience the beauty and craftsmanship of a log house is beyond description. if I had it to do over again I would not change a thing, neither the location or the house itself, there is nothing to compare it with. Western Montana is in a class all of its own and luckily this part of it is still relatively undiscovered. We are so pleased to be able to share it with you.

very nice home
The home was clean. Nicely decorated (cabin style). The wild life around the area was amazing. We had moose siting every day! One evening a bald Eagle was on the tree boughs. The only draw back is that the dock is a bit of a distance from the home so fairly unusable.
Beautiful location and great views
Location on the lake is excellent and the house has potential to be fantastic, however it is in serious need of maintenance and updating. We rented this place for our small wedding and had to request the grass to be mowed as this wasn’t taken care of, could not use the freezer because it didn’t work and lost over a hundred dollars worth of food, the screens on the doors had large tears and holes so moths and flys could easily make their way inside and the doors were difficult to slide open and closed. It seemed like the house has been neglected on basic maintenance and upkeep. If you are planning on having multiple people stay, as the property indicates you can, you should know that only one shower at a time is recommended otherwise you won’t have any water pressure. Sleeping arrangements can be tricky and some of the beds were small for guests to share. On a positive note, the property manager, Cora was fantastic and very responsive to all my inquiries.
We had a lovely stay at this lodge. Spacious, comfortable, with wonderful views. We also enjoyed renting a fishing boat from the Moose Marina and using the dock. Highly recommend!
Second time renting probably last. Clean comfy
It has a gorgeous view probably good for boating though not in our plan. Rooms are all good but it needs lots of Maintainance which was neglected over years. Stove and dushwasher really difficult. Utensils, supplies and dishware all disorganized and not adequate for large group. At end if stay we found nice dishes, etc in dining room but everyday needs upgrade.
Was really clean, just needs a buyer who will love it to perfection.
Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend than what we got staying at this home. It is even more spacious than we were expecting. Beautiful view to the lake and having the dock was a nice touch as well. To anyone viewing, you will not be disappointed by this house.
A Slice of Heaven
What a magical week end for our family! The views were breathtaking and having lake frontage as part of the property was a great bonus. The adults and grandchildren enjoyed using the paddle boat and plenty of fish were caught right off the shore. The fire pit was a fine encore to days filled with activity. Rainbows End is a great place to experience the outdoors and feel pampered along the way!
Most of the activities mentioned above are within an hours drive. Visit the historic museums in Anaconda, Butte and Philipsburg. Granite and Garnet ghost towns. Smoke jumper center in Missoula. Chief Joseph's battleground museum in Wisdom. Two hour drive to Yellowstone Park and 4 hours to Glacier Park.
